Bernanke: Recovery finally taking hold

New York (CNNMoney) - The U.S. economic recovery is finally getting stronger, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke said Friday morning.

Bernanke, in remarks prepared for testimony before the Senate Budget Committee, said there is increased evidence that a self-sustaining recovery in consumer and business spending may be taking hold.

Mr. Bernanke you know and I know and what is more most of the American people know that the return to the Gold Standard is the only method that will save the economy and the country. America is about to go the way of the Roman empire. Drop the NEW WORLD ORDER lies and tell us what we already know.

I share his optimism for 2011. In fact, I think the economy began it's turnaround in the first week of November. The 3rd if I remember correctly.

Of course, Republicans will take credit for this. They will take credit even though they have done nothing after taking over the House, besides reading the Constitution. They will claim that extension of the Bush tax cuts caused the recovery, despite the fact that extension of the tax cuts does nothing more than keeping the status quo, because the tax cuts have never gone out of effect since they were enacted by Bush in 2001. They will ignore the fact that the economy has added jobs 11 months in a row, which happened after the stimulus bill and mostly after the healthcare bill. Facts are inconvenient. But who needs facts when you have FOX News and talk radio creating an alternate reality for its followers?

I guess it's because the repugs have taken control of the House. After all, the economy started falling the day the Dems took over four years ago. At least that's how fox propaganda network spins it.
