'All chaos broke loose,' says witness of Arizona shooting

(CNN) - It was a day and an event like so many others - until it wasn't.

Six people were killed and 12 others wounded, including U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, when a gunman opened fire in front of a grocery store in Tucson, Arizona, Saturday morning, authorities said. The congresswoman had been hosting a meeting with constituents when the attack began.

A few months ago, the FBI set up a Somali (Muslim) kid here with a fake bomb plot here in Portland, OR. there was outrage throughout the country, but the whole thing was a sting operation set up by the feds and no one was hurt.

No one talked about the conviction and capital punishment sentence of two white right-wing terrorists, Bruce and Joshua Turnidge, who blew up a bank and killed a cop. I don't know if this kid is political at all - his videos are gibberish and he just seems completely unhinged. But now is as good a time as any to discuss the fact that much of the terrorism and political violence in this country is homegrown, from an increasingly unbalanced extreme right wing element.

This is so awful. What is worse is, I was at Congresswomen Giffords headquarters in Tucson and the police evacuated everyone at the vigil across the street as someone discovered a suspicious package in the area. The police exploded the package and after everything was clear stopped traffic at the intersection to allow the crowd of vigilers' to go back across the street to Congresswoman Giffords headquarters.
