Interesting to see that 30% didn't think mental illness didn't play a role in this. These people are either ignorant of the facts or as delusional as the gunman. It is scary that that many people could think this insane delusional person had no mental illness.

GOP = Greed Over People
54% of Americans think harsh rhetoric may be a contributing cause to future assassination attempts, and yet 66% of Americans think the rhetoric will be toned down only for a month.
If we preach violence, we beget violence.

Useless polls. Everyone I talk to at work, family members and friends think that the AK mean witch has been instrumental in changing the face of politics for the worse with name calling, hate and lies since she was thrust upon us by a senile old man who cared more about being president than his own integrity.

Lousy Biased Coverage
Looks like CNN's polling questions were a little biased by the left wing media since 2 hours after the shooting, they were blaming republicans, Palin, conservative talk radio and the Tea Party. It has not been show any of these had any effect whatsoever so what you are really polling is the effectiveness of the media to push a liberal agenda and to sway public opinion in a way that is politically disgusting and abhorrent.
Where is the discussion of the democratic target maps and the fact that friends have said the shooter was mad at Giffords for almost 4 years since he didn't like the way she answered a question he asked her at a similar gathering?
