Why America is growing tired of Palin

Editor's note: Gloria Borger is a senior political analyst for CNN, appearing regularly on CNN's "The Situation Room," "AC360°," "John King, USA" and "State of the Union."

Washington (CNN) - OK, you've got Palin fatigue. Not to worry. So does much of the country: The latest CNN poll shows that 56 percent of Americans view her unfavorably.

More damaging, though, is this: Sarah Palin's unfavorable rating among women has gone up 10 points. And 59 percent of those all-important independent voters don't like her - and that's up a stunning 14 points in just a few months.

  1. Protect and Defend Freedom of Speech in the USA

CNN and every liberal media outlet run constant and relentless personal attacks on the woman AND her family. It is rather despicable. Who else in this country has EVER had to endure this sort of attack? NOBODY. Given what the media and the leftist loons have done to her it is a miracle she has the support she does.

Could we stop talking about Palin. I live in Africa and I think there are better issues that CNN can be covering than her. Let her have her freedom of speech but please please please...keep her off TV and any other social media.

Oh the irony. Let me rewrite this article for you:

Headline: "Why America Is Growing Tired of Palin"

Body text: "Over-proliferation of meaningless nonsense articles like this one."

    The End.

Didn't even need to use a full sentence.

CNN never tires of Palin stories, they have a lot of drug addled, hate filled democrat liberals to feed every trivial, trite story about her and then only allow the weirdos to spew all their venemous, ignorant (NEA educated, you know) vile about her. To CNN it is probably some sort of profit center feeding on the desires of the democrat liberal masses. Probably subsidized by George Soros, and the SEIU/ACORN.

Interesting perspective from Gloria Borger who I enjoy reading and respect her insight. But I believe Sarah Palin's popularity will endure because she is so honest to her beliefs and values and actually really knows and understands what the role of government is in America. She is one of very few politicians who gets it and sees government as serving the nation and people rather than the politicians and their most generous special interest supporters. I'm actually getting burned out on Obama because he brings very little to the party regarding values and honesty.

Stop it! LMAO you're killing me! I'll tell you what I'm more tired of than Palin. Palin bashing. Look, you guys successfully torpedoed any chance she'll have to run for office (and that's OK), but now it's just getting pathetic. Really, you guys just look like foolish thugs now. Keep right on beating that dead horse though! It'll give us a chance to find a viable candidate without your stupidity and sensationalism gumming up the works.

Ms B – why do u think that CNN has so few viewers when comparing it to even MSNBC – you are just one more CNN person that shows her bias every single day – with your body language and your words – u r one of the reasons for such a low turnout of viewers – why don't u go away

"And while they don't want to alienate Palin's supporters - they have to win in GOP primaries, after all - they clearly believe that criticizing Palin, even meekly, is no longer a fool's errand"

I am remembering the days when GOPers were forever stating that Palin would become a thorn in President Obama's side. How's that reality thingy working for you GOPers?

Sarah Palin should be arrested. There are even pictures on the Net of her proudly displaying the trophy head of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer she just shot! And the Jayson Blair New York Times piece that goes with it. That woman is evil. Thank you CNN, NY Times, MSNBC, and DailyKos for exposing this satan's spawn for what she is! The real truth is spoken and written here!

Fox news (‘Fox News is the most distrusted name in news’ polls show) and some conservative created a environment that Palin is strong, straight talk and she is GOP’s Hillary
Now suddenly she is a victim it won’t work in our politics

The media is successfully making the public weary of her, by keeping her in the spotlight, daily. The media hates Sarah.......more than anyone else.

  17. Taking Back America; One Vote At A Time

I have never in my lifetime witnessed any media outlet spend as much energy and treasury in an attempt to destroy and denegrate anyone.......but more so, one who is NOT and elected or announced to be elected offical, as Sarah Palin is???
So her poll numbers have gone down, since when does that mean "American is growing tired of Palin".....what a JUMP to criticize! What about when Obambi's numbers were down.....I didn't see CNN say America Growing Tired Of Obambi.....

Everyone knows Palin will never run for President. The liberal media has lied so much about her and made up crap like the nonsense that she made a statement saying she could see Russia from her backyard, when in fact what she said was we (as in Alaska) have Islands that you can see Russia from. And that in fact is correct. But the liveral media tells a lie often enough people with no ability to find out the facts (liberals) will believe anything. In fact I think more Americans are tired of Obama then tired of Palin. And what's really funny is that everytime you pukes attack Palin she makes another million dollars. Liberals are their own worst enemy and that is why only 17% of the country now consider themselves liberal while over 40% consider themselves conservative.

CNN should honor this and stop posting this woman on every page of their daily news. Although she doesn't offer America any hope.

Sarah said she would not shut up-that she would not sit down. She was speaking in response to her unfortunate comments a few weeks ago, but it says it all for her. She does not care about anybody but herself. You can't possibly be a public servant unless you have a servant's heart. A leader has to be both bold and humble. Fewer and fewer people, when they close their eyes, can't imagine seeing ol' Sarah and Todd standing next to other world leaders. Sarah Palin was the biggest mistake of John McCain's political career.

I wouldn't have such Palin fatigue if CNN would report every time she blows her nose or smiles. I'd rather read about a regular person who is doing great.
