Palin to keynote Reagan celebration
(CNN) - Former Republican Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will give the keynote address in February at the Reagan Ranch Center honoring the 100th anniversary of the former president's birthday.
The two days of events in Santa Barbara, California are sponsored by the conservative Young America's Foundation.
"Young America's Foundation has been sharing the values of President Reagan with young people for over 40 years, and there is no organization more committed to preserving freedom's future," Palin said in a statement.
Her speech on February 4th will "draw parallels to today while calling for young people to continue the Reagan revolution into 2012 and beyond," according to the release.
Former Vice President Dick Cheney will speak at the end of the celebrations on Saturday February 5th.
The festivities will include panel discussions with Reagan authors, former Reagan administration officials and leaders of the Young America's Foundation.

What a way to dis-honor the memory of President Reagan. His memory deserves better than Sarah.

WHATEVER is the Reagan family thinking to allow Palin to make a mockery of the memory of Ronald Reagan in a way only Palin herself will manage to do . . . btw, what is (or was) the Reagan Revolution that Palin is promoting on behalf of his memory? I doubt it's his compassionate conservative ideology - Palin is anything BUT compassionate.
I think if Ronald Reagan were alive today he'd select himself a nice switch stick and escort Sarah to the woodshed.

OMG. I was no fan of Ronald Reagan, but she is not in his class. There are so many qualified speakers who would have been honored at the opportunity. I may not have know Reagan, but this I can tell you, Sarah Palin is no Ronald Reagan.

Reagan increased the size of government more than any other President. We would be no tea partier.

I am not a Reagan fan, but it just seems plain wrong and insulting to have this THING be the keynote speaker at anything honoring an ex-President.

Palin should not be allowed to speak, she will use the opportunity turn a celebration of Reagan in to something about her. It is not right.
