Not many House Republicans rejecting health benefits on principle

Washington (CNN) - It's now official. Starting Tuesday, members of Congress may receive generous health care benefits - subsidized by Uncle Sam.

Most lawmakers accept this insurance - the same perk afforded to some 8 million federal employees and their families.

Which is why the Republican party is synonymous with the word hypocrisy.

Color me surprised - the Repub/Tea Partiers who oppose HCR for the American public are hypocrits by accepting gov't healthcare for themselves.

Democrats get the same coverage – difference being they are trying to help many Americans get coverage they have never
had before. Republicans won't give up anything, won't help anybody who needs it, don't know how to "replace it", get
nasty if interrogated about it, and worse, some want them to lead America. Well, I don't want them to lead me anywhere.
I do want them to get out of the way and let America get back on track and get out of the ditch they drove us in for
    eight years.

I thought the repubs wanted to cut spending, reduce the deficit. This sounds like the perfect place to start. It really angers me to think that money is taken out of my pay to subsidize their health insurance. We have to purchase our own insurance for about $800/month with a $5000. deductible per person. If the public option had been left in the bill, perhaps the competition would have lowered premiums. But nooooo, we can't have a government take over of our health insurance. Sounds like it would have offered the exact same options they have. Hypocrites!

They are so naive, clinging to their ideals. DC and the lobbyists will get to them in time. If everyone of them held to their ideals we would have a functioning country and they could work together.
