Bristol Palin to run for office?

(CNN) – Forget about Sarah. The next Palin to hold elective office just might be Bristol Palin.

The famous daughter of the former vice presidential candidate told E! News she "probably" will run for office some day if a pressing problem needs to be addressed.

"If I saw something that needed to be changed, then I would step up to the plate and do something about it," the former dancing with the Stars contestant said.

As for the other politician in the family, the younger Palin is urging her mom to run for president.

"I think she would be a wonderful president, and I still think that she should run," Bristol said. "She's just so common-sense conservative….just, 'Here's what we've gotta do and this is how we're gonna do it,' and she brings a whole 'nother aspect to politics because she's a mom, because she runs a household, and I just think she's really smart."

I remember when Henry Gibson ran for President as a lark. Now these idiots are doing it in all seriousness. The democratic process is truly taking a beating.

@Mike Moderate, you have raised stupid to new levels with that comment and that's saying something in this crowd.
@Clam Dog, Like you've never used slang. It would be fun to record every thing you say and then pick it apart for grammatical errors.

And now for a fact, Bristol graduated from high school.

    Sarah Palin 2012 !!!!!

I think all of the Palins should keep talking. The more they do the more ridiculous and ignorant they seem. I'm sure the Dems are loving this!

Bristol: there is a world of difference between popularity and knowledge. Your Mom may be popular with her steadily shrinking cadre of supporters, but she exhibits neither the knowledge or the intelligence, much less a certain mental toughness, to be President of this country.

My Mom was an exceptional lady; a military officer's wife who could organize, move our family on her own, and hold down a full-time job effectively. She was also beautiful, personable, and caring. That wouldn't have qualified her for office.

Since this is a free country, you can certainly run for any office you have the basic qualifications for, but if you think people are going to line up to beg you to run, I think you will find you are mistaken. With an education, some years of experience as a political intern, and some distance from your mom, some local offices might be feasible, but I wouldn't count on it...

"famous daughter"? Does having a child out of wedlock make her famous? This idiot is as brainless, if not more so,
than her mother failin Palin half-term governor. What a joke CNN

Is there not real news for CNN to report, other than this garbage?

Are you kidding? OK Al Franken for the Deomcrats, but what's with the Republicans and that all of them think they are qualified for office? She learned about contriception too late, she got too far on a dance show becuase of her mother's "fame". Moving from Alaska is not a job qualifier.
    I'm glad I'm old

  15. CNN isn't "News"

No credible news station would run this headline for made up drivel other than CNN. I've read quotes by CNN that used the word "another" when the speaker didn't pronounce all the syllables but for Palin you write "nother." You are as biased as they come. Everyone knows it. Everyone sees it. You have no credibility at all. Get off the air.

John McCain owes this country a huge apology. He should at least have a long talk with the whole Palin clan and say "look, I made a mistake. Why don't you all go back to Alaska and we will pretend none of this every happened? Not only are you making yourselves look bad, you're making Alaska look bad, you making the Republican party look bad, your making me look bad and now your making Arizona look bad. This was a complete and utter failure. I knew I should have gone with Joe Lieberman."

Does Bristol even have a high school diploma. We need educated people as public servants, not celebrity wanna-be's.

If Sarah Palin wants to do something for her country, she should become a pornstar. Then she could reach out to the conservative base.

What pressing problem would she be concerned about? Scarcity of snack foods? Gimme a break!!! If she learned anything from her Mom (Sarah-the Cross-eyed Quitter-Palin) she would be of no use in any publicly elected office. Maybe she moved to AZ to keep on eye on Mexico. The Palins need to just fade away from public view
