Obama calls for nation wide wireless plan

WASHINGTON (CNN) - In his State of the Union address, President Obama said the path to "winning the future" must include better access to hi-speed internet.

"Within the next five years, we'll make it possible for businesses to deploy the next generation of high-speed wireless coverage to 98 percent of all Americans," said Mr. Obama. "This isn't about faster Internet or fewer dropped calls. It's about connecting every part of America to the digital age."

It's about time the U.S. steps into the 21st century. We are being beaten on nearly every front when it comes to infrastructure.

There are radio towers beaming signals to every part of this country, it seems obvious that wifi will be the same in a few short years. That, my friends, will be the END of cellphones. People will make calls over the internet, for FREE.

GOPers will knee-jerk oppose this, but he's 100% right and wireless carriers and internet providers are likely drooling over the possibility...not to mention how important it is for giving access to information to people living without it.

And by way of convincing conservatives to go along with it: just think...you'll be able to reach a whole new market of potential voters with your corporation-funded astroturf misinformation campaigns and demagoguery. Now, get back to Amazon and continue your clicking of 1-star ratings for every "liberal" book you can find....wouldn't want the Koch brothers to find out you're dilly-dallying now, would you?

President Obama will continue to raise America up to where we used to be – While the RepubliCAN’Ts struggle within them!! If we continue to listen to them, NOTHING will get done as far as winning the FUTURE!! They want to be the ones who “invented” the thought so they can GAIN politically. If the THOUGHT did not come from the RIGHT – then it’s “socialism” or some other bad word!!

"Within the next five years, we'll make it possible…”
[to expand as being the BEST]
“…for businesses to deploy the next generation…
    …of high-speed WIRELESS…”
    "This isn't about faster internet
    or fewer dropped calls.”
It's about connecting every part of America…
…to the digital age" [that’s ALL]

"We can reduce our deficit...” [so, America don’t believe the HYPE!]
“.. we can expand our wireless access.” [Ignore the RepubliCAN’T’s GRIPE!!]
“We can expand our public safety" – [And that we dearly hold]
“To accomplish that” – [just LISTEN] – “President Obama has set a goal”
"We need to out-innovate, out-educate, and out-build the rest of the world”

    YES WE CAN!!!

Let’s support our current leader, President Obama, as he continues to MOVE AMERICA FORWARD to Win the Future! WTF, why NOT!!!

You are quite right Mr. President. We have to move with time, not like GOP who want to take the country back to that age, when sending a letter one has to tie it around the neck of a pigeon not knowing which direction the bird will fly to!
