Cain: 'Stupid people are ruining America"

Washington (CNN) - Herman Cain, the first Republican to open a presidential exploratory committee, addressed the Conservative Political Action Conference Monday in a speech laden with criticisms of the Obama administration's fiscal policies.

"Stupid people are ruining America," Cain said to applause and laughter. "We have to become teachers and educators of the stupid."

"The American dream is under attack, but the good news is we are fighting back. We are fighting back with our voices and our votes," added Cain.

Some of Cain's biggest applause came when he took aim at the health care law:

"Now that the cat is out of the bag, we know that health care reform legislation was an absolute disaster," he said. "That's why the House is trying to repeal and replace and we are going the help them do that."

Cain's comments capped off a day of speeches from several likely presidential candidates at the annual gathering that more than 11,000 conservatives are attending this year.

And he siad it with a straight face and no sense of the irony at the CPAC convention.

A whole convention filled with stupid, trying to bring on a world of stupid for everyone else.

You don't have to be conservative to be stupid. But you do have to be stupid to be conservative. No other way to get around all those pesky "facts" that always come up and contradict conservative ideology. Can't say "conservative ideas" because that would imply actual ideas, not just repeating bumper sticker slogans based on the ideology.

"We have to become teachers and educators of the stupid." But, you are teachers and educators OF the stupid, who do you think voted for you? Republicans are the party of the Ostrich, bury your head in the sand and ignore the problems around you.

Just like those clowns threw out Steele, they'll do the exact same to does he not know that his party doesn't serve the interests of "his kind". The stupid people that are ruining America are HIM and those fools at that jackass conference. Hell they all need to look in the mirror come to think of it.

Cain is absolutely correct. He is calling on his audience by their name, only that they are so stupid to even recognize themselves. I bet they gave him a standing ovation. LOL!

Why don't you start with the stupid people in the room you're speaking to? Or the stupid people who believe the made-up stuff they hear on Faux News?

Gee, another right winger with reflective personality disorder. Just like Glenn Beck writing a book called "You can't argue with idiots" – yeah, try arguing with one of Beck's kool-aid swilling followers and you will know what it is like to argue with an idiot.

Keep preaching to the congregation. CPAC people aren't going to vote for Obama anyhow. Not like you are converting voters.

Well, he's partially right. But the stupid people are the ones paying attention to the likes of Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann. The Republican party should look first to educating their base before they call the rest of America stupid.

cain is an idiot following in the foot steps of Mike Steele. He's just another ignorant businessman riding the wave of political bigotry. Because he's a Black Man wackos on the right flock to him because they get some sort of comfort in their misplaced, misguided hatred of Pres Obama and his policies. Cain will no doubt suffer the same political demise as Steele when the ultra-conservatives no longer require his services. This idiot has heathcare and probably exploited the workers of his fast food chain. Go ahead Mr. Cain continue to carry the GOP's water like a good house negro in order to preserve your personal weath and social status.

Fighting back with a lot of extreme rhetoric and no substance. Based on my experience that no one on the right can post an intelligent comment about any issue, I have to agree that stupid people are ruining the country. We need intelligent, informed discussion of issues, not drones rambling endlessly about Obummer, Obamacare, and "libs." These people are drones. I can't get them to discuss an issue intelligently if I beg them.

Stupid people should show this brilliant mind how much they agree with his assessments by not paying attention to him and continue to side with Stupid people who will try to do whats right for the people and country. Obviously the brilliant people have no clue what to do or more accurately they choose not to do whats right for the people.
