Bachmann expands South Carolina itinerary

Washington (CNN) - Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann has added another event to her upcoming South Carolina trip as she explores the possibility of running for the Republican presidential nomination in 2012.

The outspoken conservative will headline a low-dollar fundraiser for the York County Republican Party in Rock Hill on Friday evening, according to a copy of the invitation obtained by CNN.

Bachmann, who is billed on the invitation as the "Leader of the House Tea Party Caucus and Potential 2012 Presidential Candidate," had previously announced appearances before GOP groups in Columbia and Spartanburg on Saturday.

In January, Bachmann traveled to Iowa, which is slated to lead off the GOP nominating process next February. She also told CNN over the weekend that she plans to visit the first-in-the-nation primary state of New Hampshire "soon."

She has yet to even be a congressional representative. She certainly thinks highly of herself.

Why aren't these congress people in Washington working for the people of this country instead of out galavanting around. Are we docking their pay while their gone? Beyond that, this nut case doesn't have a chance in hell of winning anything. Talk about dumb, doesn't she or Palin realize they would have to go up against some fairly intelligent competition to get the nomination. Please quit wasting our time and get back to work.

Does this crazy woman ever do any work for her constituents? She seems to be everywhere but Minnesota, which may be a good thing for Minnesotans. How could they have voted her back into office? She's a complete nutcase, pushes lies and minisformation, and doesn't even know American history. According to her, the founding fathers fought against slavery. Doesn't she know they all had slaves? What a moron!

She should run in 2012. The president would win hands down. The GOP can save the real talent (if they have any) for 2016.

Michelle Bachman is a typical candidate in a field of hugely misguided extremists.

The sign in the background says, "November speaks," implying that because the Republicans took the House, President Obama should drop his agenda and embrace the (failed) policies of the GOP.

Quick question: When the Democrats took the House, Senate and White House in 2008, where was all this lip-service about "the will of the people"? Why didn't the Republicans "listen" to Americans and work to create genuine compromise, but instead obstructed everything President Obama and the Democrats tried to do for our country?

Is it because the Republicans care only about their party and their power and their corporate sponsors' bottom lines, regardless of how it affects our country?

Because the truth is, folks, Republican economic, military and foreign policies are PROVEN FAILURES.

Why anyone would vote for this yahoos is beyond me ...

Ms. Bachmann has done virtually nothing beneficial to her local district. She is a personal beneficiary of farm subsidies, but makes outrageous claims about government employees and other "unworthy" recipients of government money who are bankrupting our nation. She intentionally make incendiary remarks designed to pander to the far right, create unnecessary conflicts, and generate personal publicity-–but sees herself as a viable leader of the nation. I sense a bit of narcissism and exaggerated self-importance that makes me want to protect our country from this person.

For What?...On the last big Republican conferance Ron Paul got the votes...Bachmann came in with only 4%.?
And her last living breath she takes is "To derail Obamacare"....Dont look promising to me...maybe she should go back to school and learn some good political "ideas" along with her pal Pailin.....Be great to have her run fro 2012...So Obama can win his second term....with Bachmann, Pailin and Ron....all the waisted votes will for sure help OBAMA....

She's been watching her old buddy Sarah getting richer and richer and has apparently decided to get in on the action while the getting is good. PT Barnum had it all figured out.

Maybe when she gets to South Carolina she and Alvin Greene will team up as a Pres. and Vice Pres. twosome since they have so much in common. They are like two peas in a pot, just waiting for someone to turn the fire up.

Why is Bachman in SC? Don't the people in her home state pay her enough to work on their business?

"Outspoken"???? This woman is an embarrassment. Don't be fools and send her your hard-earned money for the sham of a campaign she will run. You might as well burn it OR .....give it someone who needs healthcare.
