Palin talks 2012, mocks Michelle Obama

Woodbury, New York (CNN) - Sarah Palin addressed a variety of issues Thursday at a gathering of business officials in Long Island, New York including her 2012 plans, first lady Michelle Obama, President Obama's proposed budget, the crisis in Egypt, and her feelings on the media.

Here's a snapshot of what she had to say:

On her 2012 ambitions:
"I am still thinking of leading this country. I am still thinking about it. I haven't made up my mind. We hired a chief of staff because Todd is getting tired of doing it for me."

When asked who else she might envision at the top of the GOP ticket Palin responded, "No one is more qualified to multi-tasking and doing all the things you need to do as a President than a woman."

She then began reciting from her resume, listing her experience as a mayor and running for Vice President.

"What I would look for in terms of character is someone who's been on the front lines, who understands how to administer, how to lead a team, how to run a business."

On Michelle Obama:
"No wonder Michelle Obama is telling people to breast feed their babies, because the price of milk is rising so high."

She then warned the dozens of reporters at her question and answer event, "That better not be the takeaway here."

On the threat from the Muslim Brotherhood:
"We have to be sure a group like the Muslim Brotherhood isn't invited in to take over," she said. "The Muslim Brotherhood believes in sharia law."

"If they're radical enough to have already spoken against liberties and freedom is this good for Egypt and their freedoms?" she also said.

Palin also criticized the Obama Administration for appearing to flip-flop on Egypt.

"There was so much confusion about where our administration was," Palin said. "I won't condemn them for adding to the confusion, but the American public does deserve to know whose side we're on."

On the media:
Asked her about a recent Gallup Poll indicating more than 50 percent of those surveyed have a negative opinion of her, Palin responded, "In a lot of those polls I get my butt kicked."

"The poll you're referring to was taken after the Tucson tragedy. I don't think I ever went through more negative press than after Tucson," she said.

"How else does the public know you except through the press? When the press reports things that have really misrepresented my record as a council member, mayor… and what you stand for and who your family is," Palin continued, pointing to her reliance on Twitter and Facebook for public communications.

"I can't rely on a liberal-leaning press to do that for you. That's why social media will be so important."

On the president's budget proposal:
President Obama's budget plan will take the country "on the road to ruin," Palin said.

"What the people of America are saying is, 'enough is enough no more status quo we don't want to continue deficit spending.'"

"Tone deaf politicians they're going to be fired and they're going to be replaced in the next election cycle if they don't pay attention," said Palin.

I have been a Republican since I was first old enough to vote. Always been proud to admit it too. However if she is the one who ends up running against President Obama next year, I'll seriously consider another party!

It never ceases to amaze me that CNN and other media outlets pay any attention to this self-righteous and imbecilic village idiot. It took her 6 years to get through college with a degree that any reasonably intelligent human could have earned in 3. She elbowed her way into Alaskan politics, only to quit when she didn't like what was being said about her. She has done nothing but make fun of other people, much like a dim-witted schoolyard bully would do, whithout giving us a single original idea or showing us any leadership at all. I would vote for a Tickle Me Elmo before I would vote for this woman, even if their political experiences and IQ's are roughly similar.

Sarah, please, for the sake of all Americans, find something positive to do with your life, and get out of the spotlight. Every time you open your mouth it just shows us once again how incredibly pathetic you are.

This women is such an ignorant idiot. All she worships is the almighty dollar! Quit a job people voted her in to perform in order to make a buck. Why people would even give her the time of day, is just beyond me.

I suspect that Sarah Palin is actually the most brilliant Democrat in history, for if the GOP is actually stupid enough to nominate her, she will be single-handedly responsible for re-electing Obama to a second term.

How can someone who is as anti America as Sarah Palin is realistically think that she could run this country. The anti everything that could benefit the common people agenda is over the top. Time to think about the good of all the people...and then move on!

During Palin's tenure in Alaska, Alaska was # 1 per capita in earmarks. Where or where was darlin' Sarah while that was going on? She was hiring consultants (lobbyists) to go to Washington to suck MORE cash out of the feds for Wasilla! When she did get some funds during her governorship, she diverted them to build a bridge.

She has absolutely no clue what sharia law is and shouldn't comment on it, but she isn't smart enough to keep her mouth shut. If ever there was a real danger to America, Sarah Palin fits the bill.

She is only in the conversation to make cash – lots of it. If she had honored her commitment to Alaska and stayed there another two years, she realized she wouldn't have anything to "sell" America, so she had to get out while her popularity was "hot" to capitalize on it and make some real cash for the first time in her family's life.

She is unelectable thank god – just like Trump said about Ron Paul – will never be elected.

Just keep running your mouth. Because of your nasty ways and your hate and lies, there will be another tragedy that will happen in this country, like the one in Arizona where your mouth went wild. Some day Sarah the guy up above will take care of you and give you things you dont want, all because of your nasty mouth, It is a shame your parents raised you this way. May be you should teem up with Scott Brown.

Send the woman back to grammar school. Does she even know the difference a subject and a verb? She can't form a simple sentence, let alone a cogent thought.

She is such an idiot, plain and simple!! The more she opens her mouth the more the American people realize how ignorant she truly is. She needs to get a grip on what is going on besides in the backwoods of Alaska. No wonder the Republicans are such a laughing stock.

"No one is more qualified to multi-tasking and doing all the things you need to do as a President than a woman."

Imagine if Nancy Pelosi said that...just imagine the fury and the outrage the Republicans would have over such a SEXIST statement.

"The Muslim Brotherhood believes in sharia law."

You know who else believes in Sharia Law? Republicans in South Dakota who want to make it legal to murder abortion doctors. THAT is something straight out of Sharia Law.

Said I wouldn't but here I go, again:
On Her Ambitions: Resume: Did Todd eat the e-mails you refuse to disclose while part time Governor?
On Michelle Obama: A true lady, loving mother, wildly intelligent and educated, trying to help children to grow up healthy,
healthy food, exercise and healthy minds. Palin has nothing to offer, so she criticizes those who are so far above her
to make up for her own unworthiness.
On the Threat...: "WE have to....", actually, YOU don't have to do anything. You are not running this Country, you are not
in on the conversations dealing with this incident, you wouln't understand what they were saying if you were there, and you
    are not important.
On the Media: I, me, my, me, me, me . "How else does the public know you..." You talk to the press. It is
not their fault you can't answer questions, think on your feet, need "hand" props, etc. Has this dunce EVER said she
was happy to hear how well Gabriel Giffords is recovering? I would like to kick your butt back to Alaska, but you would
    just kill more innocent animals.
On the budget proposal: Just be quiet and count your money, since that's all you care about anyway,

@GSMITH. . . Remember how republicans voted for the Bush unnecessary unfunded wars that cost $1.3 trillion, the unfunded Bush tax cuts that cost $1 trillion along with the extension that will cost $800 billion, the Bush unfunded TARP program that cost $800 billion? There are more, but remember, the Bush experiment lost 8 million jobs in his last three years. Bill Clinton created 23 million jobs and Jimmy Carter created 12 million jobs, while Bush created 1 million jobs in two terms. Quite an accomplishment.

Sarah Palin always gets press from name calling, not accomplishments. Her M.O. is to call out another politician or their wife for taking a stand. The only thing Palin has done is to enrich herself at the expense of her party and family. Way to go Sarah.

This person is a below the belt puncher in a political arena were low blows are just that, low blows. Have you ever noticed that she does not take many low blows? The reason why is it is a waste on energy to defame this idiot when she does such a good job of it all by herself.
