Washington (CNN) - The protests outside the state capitol in Madison, Wisconsin this week aren't without some eyebrow-raising elements.
CNN producers have spotted at least three Nazi signs in the 25,000 person-deep crowd. Some signs depict Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker dressed as Hitler while others show a swastika and call Walker a "fascist dictator."
The protests themselves are in response Walker's proposal to end collective bargaining for state and county employees.
It is what it is. These so called republicans are FASCISTS. I don't know why people are just becoming aware to the fact. The people who call our President a socialist only do so because they are bigotted people and they can't look themselves in the mirror and realize that their values are FASCISM. Henceforth my name.
If you're trying to persuade someone to listen to your concerns, probably best not to call them a Nazi.
You call him a dictator, but you voted him in office.
Are you kidding me? Have you seen some of the symbolism by your new fave, the Tea Party, CNN?
so . . . 25,000 people and three such signs? How does that compare to the hundreds and hundreds of such signs (including pre-printed t-shirts, graphics etc) in various (usually much smaller) tea party organized "protests"? Seems like a false equivalency is being implied here. Perhaps we should all dispense with the nazi/fascist/socialist/yaddayadda nonsense.
These people are probably getting what they deserve. They probably voted for the governor because they were outraged over the Obama, the Democrats, and "government healthcare." People all over the country chose in November. Now, live with it.
wow ...yea thank a teacher for that sign.... sad...sad.. sad...

Come on, guys, you're not helping yourself with signs like this! 🙁
the unions are the nazi's
the dems gave them too much..and now it is diffiucult to take it back
The swastika &natzi emblems/signs are a bit much, but what is transpiring across America's businesses is worker/employee infringements upon worker's rights. American businesses are tryinf to fashion their work forces as a watered down version of China's labor/slave labor. China likely has the most productivity productive country in the world. China treats their workers like crap as their businesses florish with huge profits!
Actually I have to say that when I heard that the governor had sent the police to pick up the lawmakers to forcibly bring them in that was my first thought . . . . hitler would have been proud!!!!
Now we know who the real nazis are? Keep voting for the rethugs!!!!!! 🙂
Scott Walker = Tom DeLay
Funny how CNN all but ignored the swastika's and Hitler/Obama posters the TeaPers carried about during the Town Hall meetings and TeaPer protests of two years ago. Guess being on the Koch Brothers payroll has it's perks, right CNN? Only cover what it is THEY want covered, in the manner THEY want it stated. Less conflict in following THEIR orders . . .
This headline is incredibly misleading and might lead one to believe that protesters support Nazism when instead that notion is completely ridiculous. This is an example of irresponsible journalism in my opinion
Where is Nancy Pelosi to cry and say that she has witnessed this kind of Rhetoric in the past?Hypocrisy.
There are always people that are more dramatic than others and you hope that there are enough wise and mature people around that could be above it all when it matters.
What is concerning to me is the fact that we have a President that gets involved in this and takes sides. And actually helps organizing the protest. This is dangerous for the country.
He needs to be the President of pro and anti Union Americans.
unfortunately the word Union and thugs sometimes are intertwined.....Unions were wonderful at their conception however they have grown into greedy monsters. When senior citizens cannot afford their medication because of higher taxes to support teacher's union's demands it's time for them to be taken apart. No one likes to loose pay or benefits but it's time that the Unions have to give back a little and absorb some of the realities the rest of us are enduring.
There is no need for this. Progressives do not need to resort to Tea Party tactics. Let them have the irrational, extremist rhetoric.
The democrats showing their true colors. This is something we all already knew though. Democrats spewing their hatred of anyone with a difference of opinion.
Voting Republican makes it clear now that you're voting to destroy your life.
This is what you get when you vote for a republican, when are the people of this country going to wake up, and realize, republicans are in this for themselves, too line their pockets, they don't want any one else having any thing, just them.
So the next time it comes around to vote, you had better do your homework, before you vote, do not vote blind. Know who you are voting for.......... peace out.
Stupid morons. I guess they're taking their cue from the T-P'ers when they rally. At least these guys can spell, unlike the T-P'ers "Fashist Diktators Ridikewlus"
I say it's time for the Union thugs and tea partiers to meet on the streets and settle this once and for all.
Good the republican governor is getting back what he deserves. It was okay when they did this too the president, no one made a fuss over it. But when it happens to a republican its a whole different story.
Seems to me that if government employees abandon their duties that impact a community there should be a law that authorizes those employees to be replaced immediately as to not have the community be inconvenienced or endangered. Nothing new that people use Nazi, Hitler to set fear, to manipulate others, to discredit a politician. Seriously, it's time to come up with a better gimmick. Bottom line, these government employees are spoiled, they don't care to leave children without schooling, bring government offices to a stop and they don't care that Wisconsin doesn't have the money to keep paying for all their goodies and will have to end borrowing money to keep them living in the lifestyle they have become accustomed to.
