Federal shutdown: The clock is running
Washington (CNNMoney.com) - One thing is clear: nobody in Washington says they want a government shutdown.
But lawmakers have only until a week from Friday to agree on a way to keep the lights on a federal offices here and around the world. The clock is ticking.

The ConservaFascists are hoping for a government shutdown. They may say they don't want one, but the cuts they're proposing are going to lead to one because democrats are not going to go along with them. Dems, this is now your time to be the Party of No!
that's what you get when majority of house of representatives are elected in congress, idiots....you deserve to have voted for GOP thugs....
Let them do a government shutdown so the republicans can do their fair share of SacRifiCing for the country too. Then maybe the rich will have to spend that tax break money and put it back into the economy where everyone will benefit from it.
The events in Wisconsin show that the democrat liberal party and their scummy union partners are lying, corrupt, worthless , corrupt and incompetent just like the president they stole the election for. For America's sake we need to finsh the cleanout of this trash that we started in 2012. The lying about being sick is just the scatching the surface of the corruption and greed that exists in a democrat liberal and union soul.
Republicans consistently fillibustered any attempt by Democrats to submit a budget until the GOP was able to take the House. Then they waited until essentially the last minute to submit a budget themselves – a budget involving hundreds of pages. Making it impossible for the Senate to adequately review or respond to the budget in such a short time.
Republicans are pretty much using the deadline of government shutdown as a threat to ram their budget through.
No one wants a Government shutdown except of course Republicans, could not care less if it happens.
Go ahead and shut it down!! Let the old folks go without their checks and their meds.
It would be a feather in your cap GObP, showing America how tough you can be when it comes to sacrificing the MANY for the FEW.
And Boner could have a few extra cocktails so that he could be prompted to cry on cue.
Only problem is that the voters would NEVER forget it, even the amnesiacs that voted you back in would wake up with a start.

Hey, if Wisconsin government employees, Democrat Senators and Unions can do it and they have proven to have the power to do it then I guess so can Washington do it besides it doesn't seem to bother anyone what Wisconsin government employees and senators are doing to the schools, government offices, cities and the rest of us are at their mercy as we in the private sector can't do anything about it.
