Soros: Republicans control the agenda
Washington (CNN) - Financier George Soros who has famously supported liberal causes said the president has "lost control" of the economic agenda.
"President Obama has lost control of the agenda," Soros said Sunday on CNN's "Fareed Zakaria GPS." "The agenda is now in the hands of the Republican Party."
Soros, who was an early supporter of Barack Obama and helped him fundraise during his 2008 presidential bid, said the GOP will move the agenda away from economic recovery.
"They (Republicans) are going to pursue a very strong effort to cut services by refusing tax increases. I think this agenda will be successful," Soros said. "I think this will have a negative affect on the economy."
But this is not the first time Soros has voiced concern over Obama's actions. In March he told CNN the United States should have taken over U.S. banks instead of bailing them out, and in November suggested Democrats find another presidential candidate in 2012.
Soros also said members of the Tea Party movement are being "used and deceived," despite being "decent" and "hard-working" people.
"They are being misled," Soros told CNN's Fareed Zakaria. "They are misled by people who are using it for their selfish purposes… so reduce taxation and regulation."

If the Republicans want to play hostage taker with the American people, fine. After all, it's their House majority that they will lose on November 6, 1012.

Please raise my taxes. As a lower-middle income American, I would rather see my taxes (along with the rich) rise, in order to pay down the national debt and deficit problem. Get the rich tax rate back above 50%. If you earn more due to our economic system, then you deserve to pay more in order to continue to be a part of that system. Plain and simple.

Egypt gets rid of their dictator and Soros would like Obama to act like a dictator by taking over the U.S banks? Talk about giving Obama lousy advise, I hope Obama stays away from Soros.
How many Tea Partiers could hold up their S.S. cards and Medicare cards at EVERY Tea Party gathering? 70-80-90%? Do you really think Boehner has the intellectual capacity and work ethic to effectively manage through the required processes? NO WAY. George Soros believes in open government and he has donated billions of dollars to other countries in the interest of freedom for mankind. He is a benefactor for freedom, his enemy is Rupert Murdock who owns most of the News Agencies all over the world. His character has been systematically asassinated by Murdock. I am not so sure that the president is not in control though, the republicans are just a break not a wall just yet. The class warfare that started back in 2008 is still with us and will have long term consequence and they know it.
