Palin upset with Obama, again

(CNN) - Former Republican Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin took to her Facebook page Tuesday night to criticize the Obama administration's response to the ongoing turmoil in Libya.

She noted the White House released statements about the earthquake in New Zealand, "but nothing on the slaughter in Libya?"

The former Republican vice presidential nominee said "now is the time to speak out."

"For four decades this tyrant has held power. Gaddafi was Osama (bin Laden) before Osama hit the scene," Palin wrote. "Gaddafi is a brutal killer and Libya – not to mention the world – would be better off if he were out of power."

Violent anti-government protests continue in Libya while leader Moammar Gadhafi vows to hold onto power.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has condemned the violence in Libya, calling for a halt to the "unacceptable bloodshed" in response to civil unrest.

"The government of Libya has a responsibility to respect the universal rights of the people, including the right to free expression and assembly," Clinton said in a statement Monday.

But that wasn't enough for Palin. The potential 2012 presidential candidate said NATO and allies of the United States should establish a no-fly zone so "Libyan air forces cannot continue slaughtering the Libyan people."

"We should not be afraid of freedom, especially when it comes to people suffering under a brutal enemy of America," Palin wrote. "Here's to freedom from Gaddafi for the people of Libya."

Palin's criticism follows similar comments she made about the situation in Egypt. She told the Christian Broadcasting Network the uproar was Obama's 3 a.m. phone call and "that call went right to the answering machine," a reference to a line used by then-presidential candidate Hillary Clinton against Obama in the 2008 presidential campaign.

Blah-Blah-Blah …. STUPID assessment of current administration …. Blah-Blah-Blah STUPID one line zinger targeted at current administration … Blah-Blah Blah ….STUPID suggestion on how she would better handle a current problem with a STUPID solution that shows her ignorance and is in fact STUPID as it is extraordinarily reckless and very likely to entangle America in another’s sovereign nations affairs with long term STUPID repercussions that would most likely cost American lives.

One more, Palin teaches us the valuable lesson: can’t fix stupid.

An irrelevant person speaks – yet again – apparently her attention meter is running low again. Every time I see her name it makes me cringe.

"If my personal finances aren't doing well and I have 3 homes, 6 cars, 2 trucks, and a few toys, and I am complaining that I need to get a new job (raise taxes) to for my stuff, what would most people say? No, I need to sell a few things (cut funding) and live within my means (fiscal responsibility)."

FACT: State public workers make on average 5% LESS than the average private worker of similar education, experience, and in a similar position). Teachers and snow plowers and janitors and others don't have 6 houses, 3 boats, etc. They have families to raise and feed, 1 house, maybe a car for each spouse, education debt, health care debt, etc. etc. They're no different from everyone else who is suffering watching their 401K go down the drain and their house's value dip below their mortgage debt. Moreover, the WI unions and unions everywhere else have been voluntarily agreeing to furloughed work days (that means no pay, i.e., a pay cut) and making other concessions in recognition of the budgetary problems ALL THROUGHOUT THE RECESSION. That's not getting reported either. The "liberal news media" is going waaaaaay out of its way to keep the false equivalency alive with respect to what's going on in WI and elsewhere...listing facts that show Walker orchestrated his excuse to bust the unions or that the unions have for AGES taken hits and played like a team player when it was necessary for their state's budgets...those things are not allowed because they destroy the controversy and hamper ratings, ergo ad revenue.

...and here we go again: the "quitter" from Alaska opens her big mouth (sorry: Facebook page) again to demonstrate her incompetence in foreign politics. If this person were to acquaint herself with the amount of oil that the US receives from Libya, and the effect that the pursuit of her "political agenda" had on the US economy as well as the population, she might strike a different note, but thinking before opening her mouth never has been one of Palin's strengths.

what a moron. Establish no fly mean openly interfere in that countries' (yes Sarah, Libya is a country) business which would be interpreted by everyone (except war mongering Republicans) as a signal of war? She is a disgrace but I hope she keeps it up and gets the nomination. Or at least openly endorses the candidate so they can get slaughtered in the election

Such a simplistic criticism. It's a very complicated situation and we certainly want all Americans out of Libya before our government takes any stand.

"Please vote for Palin in 2012; the sooner we have our own revolution in this country the bette and there is no one better to lead that than her. PALIN 2012!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

The revolution you speak of is a war in the middle class which is being waged at this moment. Where was your revolution talk when GWB was on a spending and war spree?

Obama could eat raw moose for breakfast, and Palin would have a problem with it. Same for taking a breath of fresh air. Or going outside.

It does not matter what our President does- Palin will criticize. This is not news. It's slander.

I'm still waiting for something original from Sarah Palin. An original thought, a suggestion, a solution, a course of action, something of substance.

She doesn't care about Libya. She's only trying to improve her foreign policy credentials. She's failing horribly and she's only making herself look worse. She's being way too obvious about what she's really doing and it's just pathetic.

The only platform this woman has on politics is to run again everything President Obama does, this is not a platform to run on...Next she will be telling us to "Not Retreat" "Reload" and go start another war we can't afford, that will kill more american much as we want and pray that all people can live in freedom...we can not tell these people how to or what to do in their own country....we can all speak out and against the actions of this dictator.....what Palin wants is for Obama to send in the troops and kill this man.....all the while our Government right here may shut down and put thousands out of work...the consevatives don't want this administration to spend anymore money....but if the WH was under their control I can tell you right now we would be another war or maybe two and we would be deeper in debt than we are right now...and they would be spending more money than Obama has.....and by the way...who does she think she is or what qualifications does she have in calling the President at 3 am in the morning to tell him what to do.......get real

How would Sarah Palin know? She showed her ignorance on foreign and domestic affairs during the 2008 election and there is no possible way she is any better educated. To get educated, you must pay attention and listen. She hasn't shut her mouth long enough to listen to anything since the election.

Palin does not have a clue. Why should we get involved in Libya? That makes about the same amount of sense for CAnada to get involved in the budget demonstrations in Wisconsin, Indiana and Ohio. I think it is time for Palin to go back to her white trash doublewide and its outdoor plumbing. It is also time for CNN to stop reporting on the ignorance of this half wit quitter.

She was so uninformed about national events (let alone world events) that she couldn't answer the softball Couric question about what she read. Her answer to foreign policy seems to be harsh rhetoric, which if she were president would have to be backed up by military force. She'd have us sending in bombers to every Middle Eastern country at this point. Much of the resentment the protesting people feel is because of US intervention. That doesn't fit into her worldview though, and as she is the center of everything, her reality is completely skewed.

Where are Ms. Palin's comments on the slaughter and rape gangs in Darfur? Samolia? The inequities in America? How many people were killed in Libya vs how many of died in New York, Chicago, Detroit, Oakland in the past year.

Why don't you just speak out against Qaddafi since you feel you have the platform? Why do you have to bring our President down and our ability to launch a united front against Qaddafi if necessary along with it? STOO-PID!!! You don't know the first thing about diplomacy...and I doubt that you would know how to spell it if it weren't written you your palm...Please, Mrs. Palin...keep your uninformed, infantile, asinine comments to yourself!
