Hollywood star backs off support for Obama

(CNN) - When CNN's Piers Morgan asked actor Matt Damon if he was happy with the way President Barack Obama has been running the country and if Damon was "a fan" of the president, Damon answered "no."

Damon and the cast of "The Adjustment Bureau" - Emily Blunt, John Slattery and Anthony Mackie - are Thursday evening's guests on "Piers Morgan Tonight." During the course of their conversation, Damon and Morgan covered Hollywood, politics, fatherhood and much more.

Matt Damon is very well known by his negativity. There is nothing of the word "YES" in his vocabulary.

"The Adjustment Bureau" is based on the premise that people have no control over destiny. Forces manipulate their every decision and there is no free will. In the film, the team known as the Adjustment Bureau is charged with keeping people on their predetermined paths.

Oh Jesus, let me clear up the Matt Damon "NO" "controversy" before the right wingers flip their brains trying to make up stuff...

There is no controversy, Matt, like the rest of us sane people would rather stick needles in his own eyes than vote for crazy Republican, even if he says he's not a "fan" of President Obama....

This is precious. Obama is not liberal enough for Matt Damon. Apparently Matt may also have some suggestions about how we go about getting a handle on our economy or runaway national debt? But anyway, he needs to understand that in the environment he is familiar with in Hollywood, it may be difficult to understand the other 99.99999% of our economy. Out here we really have to keep an eye on our costs and be competitive. The movie business is not a typical industry so he may not be the perfect guy to tell us how to run the friggin country!!!

You know Matt may be political but he's one of the Elites. First of all If the Republicans have got all the fat cats by the neck and vice versa, then how can Obama make anything happen. I think he's doing great shaking things up everywhere. I also think many of the American people understand now why it has been so hard for some and so easy for others to make it in America.

Come on Damon I know your smarter than that. Republicans and there friends alike (Tea Partiers) are all liars. And have been doing it all along since way back when. Cristi can't even beat Obama right now trying to balance budgets of poor peoples back. Sad educated people. What a waste.

It really helps to understand the POTUS if you come from a working class background. If you are in the small minority of the super rich you usually don't have a clue what is like down on the streets where you struggle every single day to make a decent life for your family and keep your health in check.Matt Damon has long ago forgot what it is like to struggle on a daily basis and that is where people lose the ability to comprehend the problems that face the majority of Americans.

Never ONCE did Damon say that he DOES NOT support President Obama???? NOT agreeing with someone or something does not mean you don't support them!! He also said MORE in print than what was stated in the video?

I don't know if any of you remember when President Obama was always in the news when he first got elected – letting us know about EVERYTHING that was going on, the Pundits and CRITICS complained about him being in the news too much!!! Lately, he's NOT in the news ENOUGH!!! The memories of some American people are SHORT and it's a shame.

I am not bashing Damon because he made sense – but if the video is only a PORTION of what he said, then the PRINT should match it!!!!

I agree with Matt that financial reform did not go far enough. But as far as his views on the other political matters, I'm sure we have disagreements. I for one support the Afghan mission. We can not leave that country in the shape it is in and allow the enemy to come back and use it for an operations base. He's from Boston and I'm from Brooklyn so I'm inclined not to agree with him on much.

Thats a good laugh. I suspected as he did imply that Obama is not as much of a left wing loon as he would like while a majority of us wish he was more centrist. Might was well ask Rush Limbaugh or George Soros their opinion as they are so slanted you know the answer will be.
