Hypocrite! I recall that "Jihad Jane" was a white woman. So why are you singling out a religion Rep. King? If your the chairman of HHS, then you shuld investigate the domestic terrorist -aka- the republican party and it's affiliates.

Peter King was only looking for attention: he sure got some from naive and easy to manipulate conservatives but he will be looked at as bigot and opportunist for the rest of his life: he is a human waste!

So that explains why he does not want to investigate other religious extremists… because he always been part of other extremists groups.. Looks like this is the minimum standard for being Republican leader these days.. Hypocrite – Check, Ignorant-Check, Bully- Check.. good job Mr. King

I guess to be a good politician it helps to be a skilled liar. He definately made statements that basically condoned the killings that involved the loss of innocent lives. I believe he also helped raise money for front groups for the IRA. CNN, how about a little fact checking here.

He is a conservative.....Hypocrite just like FOX News and Koch Brother and Teanut. It OK for them, ever they wont but everyone else is terrorist.

A case of "My terrorists are OK, yours aren't." Christianity is OK, Islam isn't. Classic 1984 double-speak.

What an idiot. Does he really believe that us voters can't see through his hypocrisy?

Very simple: There are reportedly 50,000+ illegal Irish immigrants in New York, and they vote and know people who vote. That's all the "morality" that is required in politics.

  11. Limbaugh is an IDIOT

this dufus Peter King is an IRA sympathizer; a s terrorist organization............yet he had the galls to investigate a group of people because of their religious beliefs!!!

If he wants to investigate terrorism, he needs to look EVERYWHERE, not just at Muslims. He can't act like he hasn't noticed that since Obama got elected, there has been a siginificant increase in the memberships of the KKK and plenty other white supremist and right-wing militia groups, who are also stockpiling weapons and making plans for their 15 minutes of fame. Has he forgotten about Timothy McVeigh? I don't recall seeing a tan on him. So why is Mr. King only going after Muslims, who don't "look like us", when we have our own home-grown apple-pie terrorist organizations growing so rapidly?

how arrogant! he claims he was responsible for bringing peace...right! he supported the IRA in the 80's when peace was nowhere near. i can't stand when politicians lie like that. he supported a terrorist organization way before peace was on the table. his comments make clear he supported violence. he should immediately resign his position in the House. another republican hypcrite! how in the world can he stand in judgement of anybody else?????

Because he is a typical hypocrite... plain and simple. If he has to EXPLAIN it then it is completely obvious that what is coming from his pie hole will be suitable fertilizer for several acres of bumper crops for the next 5 or six years.

Gee, the timing of this story is rather convenient. Can you say smear campaign?

while did not raise money for the IRA he did donate a ton of money to them, He is worse than the people he wants to investigate. The most dangerous people in America are radical Christians who blend in with everyone else. They are the ones with anthrax farms, 50 guns in their house, and blowing up buildings.

the IRA is fighting for freedom, it's easy to judge if your kids are not being spit at because they are catholic or because you a treated like a 2nd class citizen because you are Irish...People should really read how the IRA came to be.

Ask anyone whoever served in Margaret Thatcher's ultra-conservative government if they thought the IRA was a terrorist organization. Mr. King will accomplish two things in these "Islamphobic" hearings: (1). That the "R" party is now run by gutless cowards beholden to racsist thugs in the "provisional" paramilitary wing of that party, i.e., the tea baggers; and, (2). that President Obama's re-election is guaranteed. So tell us something we don't already know.

King supported terrorism in Ireland and has zero credibility on this issue.

"Jihad Jane" was white. but you conveniently (or stupidly) forgot to mention that she called herself a Muslim. Its not the "race" thats being investigated, its the religion and its radicalization on some people.

Finally, someone does not want to "stick their head in the sand" while muslim radicals plan to kill more americans in our out country.

So terrorism is OK so long as it's not in the USA. Very nice Mr. King, very nice.

With dangerous people like Peter "I am" King in Congress, it is only a matter of time before history is forgotten and all Muslims are rounded up and placed in internment camps. His grandstanding is truly appalling.

Its okay for Mr. King to be aligned with the terrorists of his choice, but woe unto others choices. I cannot believe that this selective inquisition is being allowed to proceed. When will Mr. King be investigated?
