Palin: Wisconsin union bosses 'acting like thugs'

(CNN) - Sarah Palin once again sounded off on the Wisconsin budget debate, calling on union supporters to tone down the rhetoric.

The former Alaska governor told Fox News' Sean Hannity union bosses are "acting like thugs" and it is their responsibility to "turn down the rhetoric and start getting truth out there so that nobody gets hurt."

"They are leading some of their good members down a road that will result in, unfortunately, somebody getting hurt if you believe the death threats that are being received by those who just happen to support amending some collective bargaining privileges of state unions," Palin said Thursday.

Wisconsin Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald received two death threats via e-mail, according to a spokesman for the senator.

After weeks of demonstrations in Madison, Wisconsin over collective bargaining rights of public sector union workers, state lawmakers passed an amended version of a bill Thursday that would limit the bargaining rights of most state workers.

In a February Facebook post, Palin encouraged union workers to stand up to their bosses.

"At the end of the day, they're not fighting for your pension or health care plan or even for the sustainability of Wisconsin's education budget," Palin wrote. "They're fighting to protect their own powerful privileges and their own political clout."

I can predict the loony criticizism that will come from CNN's readings in this comment section. So let me counter them by saying" Palin never said "bring a gun, not a knife" do a fight as Pres. Obama has. Nor has she called anyone Hitler or a facists as the protesters have.

Sarah what do you know about this? Have you ever had a job? You never have ha to worry about you are going to feed your family. Right now you are doing it by spreading hate and lies. This will come to an end, as the American people are beginning to realize what you are like. It is a shame your parents brought you up this way. I hope to some day to see you having to flip burgers at McDonalds .

Always good to get the Facebook opinion from smalltown Alaska where socialism thrives. Funny that Palin was known as a bully and THUG during her short career.

Look who's talking about "tone down the rhetoric". She's the one who started "death panels' misleading people. Yes, there may be some nuts out there (maybe we need congressional hearings on the radicalization of union members). Please let her name some "specifics" on the rhetoric she's talking about. This coming from the same "right wing" when they were asked to tone down their rhetoric vowed" I will not be silenced". Hypocrit.............

Oh give me a break. You are trying to take away collective bargaining and because they resist they are thugs. What does that make you and your pals for trying to stop healthcare? No if anyone is a thug it is that dictatorial governor they have. We've got one like that here in Maine. I hate to quote GW Bush but here goes: "Bring it on"

Considering that many right thinking people believe Palin's own heated rhetoric, allegedly in preparation for an ill-advised presidential campaign in 2012, is directly responsible for the lack of civil political discourse in this country and perhaps indirectly responsible for the violence directed against Congresswoman Giffords, it is nothing short of hypocritical of her to tell the unions to turn down their rhetoric.

Every time this vacuous bimbo opens her mouth we are reminded why she is possibly the least qualified person in the land to elect to the presidency, yet there are still some incredibly stupid people out there who actually think she has something worthwhile to say. I imagine a few of those dolts will be posting here, astounding the world with their ignorance.

Not really. They just want human rights, which the state is trying to deny them.

This time you are very wrong, Sarah. This is about human rights, and the PEOPLE have rights!
