Palin: Wisconsin union bosses 'acting like thugs'

(CNN) - Sarah Palin once again sounded off on the Wisconsin budget debate, calling on union supporters to tone down the rhetoric.

The former Alaska governor told Fox News' Sean Hannity union bosses are "acting like thugs" and it is their responsibility to "turn down the rhetoric and start getting truth out there so that nobody gets hurt."

"They are leading some of their good members down a road that will result in, unfortunately, somebody getting hurt if you believe the death threats that are being received by those who just happen to support amending some collective bargaining privileges of state unions," Palin said Thursday.

Wisconsin Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald received two death threats via e-mail, according to a spokesman for the senator.

After weeks of demonstrations in Madison, Wisconsin over collective bargaining rights of public sector union workers, state lawmakers passed an amended version of a bill Thursday that would limit the bargaining rights of most state workers.

In a February Facebook post, Palin encouraged union workers to stand up to their bosses.

"At the end of the day, they're not fighting for your pension or health care plan or even for the sustainability of Wisconsin's education budget," Palin wrote. "They're fighting to protect their own powerful privileges and their own political clout."

Let me get this, the queen of rhetoric is asking that the unions to tone down their rhetoric. Has she ever listened to herself?

When does it end? Like Charlie Sheen, Sarah, your an opportunist, who's opinion means nothing to the majority of Americans in this country.

When will you go away? We're all tired of your snippets in the news. You talk about toning down the rhetoric?

Your like a blacksmith at the coals, stoking the flames on a daily basis, caring less for the effects you have on those you are critical of. Take the money you've made, go get a house on a deserted island, and leave us alone.

I'm just sick and tired of seeing your name on the news feeds, and I only wish the press would filter you out, so we don't have to listen to any more of your worthless blabber.

Let's see, they are thugs because they supported the financial bailout of Wisc. by taking paycuts? They are thugs because they represent the majority "little people" of the economy? They are thugs because they represent fire fighters, teachers and city workers?

No, no Sarah darlin', the real thugs are the people that got the rich another huge tax cut, and because of what that does to the deficit want to hurt the poor, the childern and the elderly of America by destroying programs that help them. The thugs are the people that want to ensure that insurance companies continue to make obscene profits while denying health care to HMO members. The thugs want to make sure the majority of Americans stay poor and will work for pennies with no benefits. Thugs are people like Jan Brewer of Arizona who can find money to give to Sheriffs to "protect their borders", but not for Medicare transplants patients (condeming them to death). No, No dear- You, and your Republican/TP anti-American losers- you are the thugs.

This is not just about unions. This movement is about WE THE PEOPLE, those who are main street. What's happening in Wisconsin is happening in all gop led states. Check out voter id (suppression) bills, tax cuts for the corporations but balancing the cuts with $$ from education, abortion issues, etc. Gop thinks "no unions, no money for Obama to get reelected." It's not about the states....

The US going to hell in a handbasket, there is an earthquake in Japan, the middle east is in chaos and the first article that hits on CNN is another one of Palin's pearls of wisdom. It is so assuring to know that CNN has its priorities in the right order.

Sarah Palin is right. They are acting like bullies and thugs. What would these people do if their students acted this way in school? Suspend them. These people send an awful message to our kids.

What is she talking about??? The Madison police have issued statements praising the protesters for their decorm. Don't condemn the union or its leaders because of the actions of two people who chose to threaten Fitzgerald. She's an alarmist nut who's just trying to get her right wing cronies to believe the lies that Walker is promoting.

"At the end of the day, they're not fighting for your pension or health care plan or even for the sustainability of Wisconsin's education budget,"

Can ANYONE be more ignorant than Sarah Palin? Seriously?

"The Obama administration has consistently blocked American energy production that would lower costs and create jobs in our country, Boehner said."

Whatever you say, John-Boy. Don't forget to add that Obama gave all that money to the banks, too. You know, that TARP fund GW signed into law in October, 2008. BEFORE Obama became President. And, lets add how all you GOPers insist that the oil companies should continue to receive their billions of tax payer subsidies. Not very nice for these same companies to turn around and then increase the cost of gas on we the little people . . . everything being as it is . . . and then fault the President for the high gas prices. Can't imagine why oil companies can't seem to work off 500B each in yearly profits, but apparently they can't function as a company unless their stockholders are as well paid to the extent they have been each year. For the past decade, actually.

    1. Does Sarah Palin actually understand what collective bargaining is? 2. Why is anything that happens in Wisconsin state politics the concern of Sarah Palin? 3. Can Sarah Palin see Wisconsin from her back porch?
