Palin: Wisconsin union bosses 'acting like thugs'

(CNN) - Sarah Palin once again sounded off on the Wisconsin budget debate, calling on union supporters to tone down the rhetoric.

The former Alaska governor told Fox News' Sean Hannity union bosses are "acting like thugs" and it is their responsibility to "turn down the rhetoric and start getting truth out there so that nobody gets hurt."

"They are leading some of their good members down a road that will result in, unfortunately, somebody getting hurt if you believe the death threats that are being received by those who just happen to support amending some collective bargaining privileges of state unions," Palin said Thursday.

Wisconsin Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald received two death threats via e-mail, according to a spokesman for the senator.

After weeks of demonstrations in Madison, Wisconsin over collective bargaining rights of public sector union workers, state lawmakers passed an amended version of a bill Thursday that would limit the bargaining rights of most state workers.

In a February Facebook post, Palin encouraged union workers to stand up to their bosses.

"At the end of the day, they're not fighting for your pension or health care plan or even for the sustainability of Wisconsin's education budget," Palin wrote. "They're fighting to protect their own powerful privileges and their own political clout."

OK Sarah sweetie, remember who you are romancing for possible votes. Surprisingly, even Republicans are union members.

At least they're not placing crosshairs on photos of their political adversaries.
This woman has no business advising anyone to tone down rhetoric.

The Republicans – both on a local level, and a national level – are, without concience or hesitation simultaneously attacking the average American worker while also knuckle-busting through legislation that will protect mega-millionaires and trust fund playboys from having to pay their fair share of taxes. Clearly this is NOT fiscal conservativism...it is simply a campaign against the middle class by the wealthy elite. Thanks, Republicans, for finally showing your true colors.

I do not think there is a more hateful woman in the country than the Alaska Airhead. Remind me to send Todd a sympathy card.

There she goes again. Commenting on things she has no knowledge or insight to. She should stick to shooting defenseless animals for fun.

Once again Palin makes the statement "Shes an idiot" true. What she does understand but refuses to admit publicly that this is all about union busting. Palin believes that by busting unions her chances of becoming president increases. She believes this because if president Obama can not get the support from unions her chances increases of occupying the oval office. Here is the problem, even without union support and 50% of democrats not voting in 2012, she would still loose to president Obama because shes an idiot. She is a money grubbing, middle class hater whose core is all about class warfare and its that simple when it comes to Palin.

Fox pays her to repeat their lies, as if that gives any credibility to their mindless attacks. If birthers actually worked, they would tell Sarah to sit down and shut up.

WOW, this IDIOT is talking again?!

Wonder why this airhead Palin did NOT call Huckabee a THUG when he called single unmarried women like Bristol Palin having babies immoral...and against the "boy's scout" values in his neighborhood?!!

Oh, this dufus Palin makes more money spouting gibberish than those ordinary hardworking American teachers, fire fighters, emergency workers etc...and Palin already got her tax breaks without lifting a finger; so ofcourse she gonna spit and thumb her nose down at hard working middle class Americans who are fighting to save their public sector jobs from being outsourced to INDIA & CHINA!!!!

It's time for Gov Walker and the KOCH BROTHERS to import those cheap labor from CHINA & ILLEGALs to start teaching kids in our public school system...that will save the state of WISCONSIN a whole lotta money!!!!

Seriously? The "Reload" lady wants the rhetoric toned down. I see smart enough to know that this statement is incredibly hypocritical? Especially she has stated that a person, namely her, cannot be held responsible if they’re hyperbolic rhetoric causes violence. If anything, the Union bosses are victims of a media assault, just like she was. I’m always confused as to whether she is just stupid or is actually a genius at propaganda.

Sarah, Sarah, Sarah, say it ain't so! Are you sure they should just slink away with their tails between their legs and accept this?
Shouldn't they "Not retreat but reload"? Shouldn't they post a map of these peoples home towns with bullseyes over them?
I agree, they are looking out for their own jobs but it is their job to represent these folks so that the folks can get along doing their own jobs. You are saying that the administration is not producing jobs while with the other hand trying to increase the numbers of unemployed by getting all union administrative personnel sacked. There needs to be some reform, on both sides!

Palin's message is: "stand up to your boss – unless he's a republican. If he is a republican, then you must do what he says."
Am I missing something or is this a double standard here?

The only thugs I've seen are the Governor and Republican legislators. This "my way or the highway garbage needs to stop." The Governor has been exposed with that pathetic telephone call. When he proudly announced his plans to trick Democrats into returning so the bullies on the playground could claim victory, his true colors were there for all to see. What a weasel! Sorry if I offended weasels.

    One word: RECALL!

She must think everybody is a fool. The Union bosses didn't force 80,000 people to march in protest of the actions of this Tea Bag Governor. I hope the people of Wisconsin are successful in recalling him.
