Gee, didn't he ALSO star in "U.S. Marshalls" ?
But I guess it sounds "funnier" (read: less qualified) to associate him ,as a possible Democratic Senator, with aliens and movie comedy.

You know Democrats are in trouble when they start trying to "draft" movie stars or Jeopardy champs...BTW only Republican movie stars rune and some actually get elected...

Then again, this is in Texas and I've given up on Texas a long long long time ago...

But, I am with you Texans that want to secede from the US and be your own Republic...by all means please do...

As California goes ...so goes the nation. It all started with Ronald Regan....now some people in this country seem to think that movie stars make good politicians... If Tommy Jones had been in the movie Predator with Arnold and Jessie Ventura he probably would have been elected Gov. of Texas years ago.

Please don't paint all Texans into one category. Not all of us agree with the way Rick Perry is ruining our State. From the beginning of our Statehood there has only been six Republican Governors. George W. Bush is not a native Texan and we have him to thank for Rick Perry. George wasn't satisfied with ruining Texas, he had to nearly destroy the entire Country. The fact that Karl Rove worked for Perry's election was pretty hush, hush. Most of us were not aware of it until after the eclection. Unless this has been changed, Texas is a State that reserved the right to seceed when it joined the Union of United States. It would be divided into four parts. You can be sure if that ever happens, I will be moving to the part that does not include Rick Perry.

His vast experience in dealing with alien bug life forms should come in handy in dealing with Reid and Pelosi, should he run and win!

I assume this Texan knows that Tommy Lee Jones was Al Gore's roommate in college, and from all appearances is a Democrat. Might want to check that out first.

Isn't America the place where anyone can run for office, how about a lil support here. At least the guy is an open minded person with valid opinions. Would you really want another cookie cutter politician in their office. Go Tommy, I would vote for you if I lived in Tx.

If he can keep the Tea Party from turning our country into the third world backwater they want then I say more power to him. Being an actor does not disqualify as long as you've got a couple of brain cells you would be better than some.
