BREAKING: Obama to hold conference call on Libya with Congress
(CNN) - President Barack Obama will speak about Libya with congressional leaders via conference call at 2 p.m. ET, according to White House Press Secretary Jay Carney.
Obama will update the leaders on "what we've accomplished so far" and the transition to NATO leadership, Carney said.
Obama participated in a National Security Council meeting on Libya earlier in the day, Carney noted.

What if Congress says no, and says to get our forces out now?
I feel badly for Obama but only partly so. The ultra liberals (Kucinich et al) are mad at anything that makes the Pentagon look useful. The knuckle dragging neocons are mad at anything that makes Obama seem like 100 times the President George W Bush was.
Results so far in Lybia?
1. Obama helped put together a coalition in 10 days that is deeper and wider than anything Bush did in years.
2. Our brave troops are helping, basically the whole world (except maybe a few tea baggers)stop mass murder.
3. He masterfully engineered seizing Gadafi's assets. I think we should spend some of the dictators money to buy us some more ammo and a plane or two. then just give the rest on the rebels.in the form of food and weapons. (lease lend style for maybe some oil-futures)
That ought to smooth a few EGOS.
Although his message will be perfectly clear – [R]'s still won't understand, comprehend or agree. Please Mr. President just keep doing what you're doing. We the people support you.

Obama lied about closing Gitmo, why should we believe him now, that this will end soon?

I hope crybaby John Boehner will actually show up at this conference briefing because the first when Congress was briefed...Boehner was whinning about his microphone not working and missing Tanning salon appointment!
Time for Boehner to MAN UP and call on his group of GOP thugs to be patriotic Americans and support President Obama and our troops that are fighting to enforce the no-fly Zone and oust dictator cum tyrant Moammer Gaadhafi who have NOT only killed American citizens but is killing his own people!!!!

In my eyes, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! And that's not premature. The main objective was to setup the NFZ and it's in place. Not to mention it only took 6 days as the President promised and not 6 weeks or months. Whatever Congress decides to do from here is on them.

And I can guarantee you, the GOP is already busy strategery-izing and drafting it's prepared "news" media response/release for after the conference call...even though it hasn't even taken place yet.

Rest assured, though, that no matter how detailed and up to date your report.....it won't be enough for the locusts. Boo-Hoo is sure to miss the briefing, The Newt will say "blah, blah Obama wrong blah, blah", and the Wassilla Dingbat who is not in the running for anything will get back to contradicting you just as soon as someone transcribes your statements to a 2nd grade reading level for her.
By driving NATO to take command of this mission as quickly as he did, Obama wins! CHECKMATE.
It really drives his opponents (dare I say it, his enemies) crazy that the man constantly outthinks and outmanuevers his opposition. He was well within his rights as President to authorize the action, he has kept our involvment limited and has averted a genocidal crisis.

I think Obama should release the audio from the meeting he had with all the congressional leadership right before he allied with NATO. I'd like to think that would expose Lugar and Boehner as the hypocrits they really are since they were both in that meeting and presumably didn't have much to say to disagree with the president, until they left the meeting .....
