TheTeaParty.net says it plans to sponsor a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series racing truck, The Hill's Christina Wilkie reports.
The site announced it will sponsor the "red No. 89 truck currently driven by Chris Lafferty," which "will be re-dubbed the 'We the People's' truck, in order to tear up the racetrack for the next two seasons."

This is Citizens United at work. These vehicles have multiple sponsors, with one or more being granted the right to put names and logos in prominient spots on the race car. Let's see who else will put their name on the car. I
predict no one, but one name does not mean that the Tea Party is the sole sponsor. If it were, then those who donate to the Tea Party should question how their contributions are being used. NASCAR is big business designed to earn a profit for the successful.
There is the potential for profit to be made. Profit? In a political action group? Oops, I forgot. Citizens United makes this sort of conduct legal.
Clearly, this sends a very coherent and poignant message about their politics: "we like going around in circles and not getting anywhere."
They should be called The Beer Party..
Tearing up the "racetrack" is about all they are good for.
The Tea Party? "I think that democrats and independants, should require that All Southern Govenors, teaparty canidates,( Like Haley Barbour) and any Teaparty sympathisers, should provide papers showing they had no early ties to the Klan earlier in their lives,or in their family trees. I think that is your Duty in the south and southeast. Including Republicans. We the people have a right to Know? Before 2012 please. Aweful funny our Black Americans are still being discriminated against down their? Even our President! Wake up and smell the dodo Voters?
Way to go tea people. You really know how to rech the American people. No need to debate your point of view. Jjust sponsor a NASCAR truck. Better not call it "We the People's" truck though, or some of the Nascar audience may think that they have the right to drive it home. How about calling it "The Scmuck Truck"?
I have to admit they made a good choice of vehicle. Nothing gets more American than a Chevrolet.
I drive a Ford, doesn't that make me a Marxist? If you answered "yes", congratulations. You have passed the entrance exam. You may now vote for your own Tea Party favorite.
This money is A DROP IN THE BUCKET from the TEAPARTY that is sponsered by the BILLIONAIRE KOCH BROTHERS. The FAKE PATRIOT MOVEMENT keeps on rolling.
Aside from hijacking the Republican Party, now the TP is hijacking NASCAR- this won't do anything for their reputation as a real sport. Just for rednecks and kooks, I guess. Too bad for those of us who like stock car racing but aren't lunatics.
