(CNN) - Amid a debate over whether Wisconsin's new collective bargaining law had taken effect, a Wisconsin judge again put it on hold Tuesday and warned anyone against trying to implement it.
"Now that I've made my earlier order as clear as it possibly can be, I must state that those that act in willful and open defiance of a court order place not only themselves at peril of sanctions - they also jeopardize the financial and governmental stability of the state of Wisconsin," said Dane County Circuit Court Judge Maryann Sumi.
FULL STORY
Scott Walker thinks he's above the law, he only listens to his masters the Koch brothers.
And how long will it be until the Republicans again ignore a valid court order and the law?
Since when does a Judge make law or remove a law? Judges enforce law, interprete law but do not make nor brake laws.
Sumi will be overturned. If she is an elected official she won't get re-elected.
Here in AZ everyone is yelling what part of illegal don't you understand. What part of the judge's order didn't they understand. They must feel pretty smug for getting around the ruling.
Apparently Republicans hate the Rule of Law. Either you abide by Court rulings, or you hate American values. Which is it, Scott Walker and his Republican breathren?
ROTFLMAO!!!
"Now that I've made my earlier order…”
You Republicans better hold on to your attempted “slaughter”
“…as clear as it possibly can be, I must state…”
This one-sided law you created holds NO weight!!!
And “…those that act in willful and open defiance…”
Ignoring ME and NOT acting in full compliance
“…place not only themselves at peril of sanctions…”
But would further destroy the TRUST from the people in Wisconsin!!!
Judge Maryann Sumi has spoken!!!! Go On SKY-Walker with your bad-ash-self – IF YOU DARE!!
Let the RECALLS continue. OBAMA/BIDEN 2012!!!
Good for Judge Sumi! I don't understand how the governor can try to abridge the federal Wagner Act, which guarantees workers the right to form labor unions, and the right to bargain collectively with their employers. If he, and the GOP, gets away with this, they are traitors to the law, the government, and to the American people.
Government stopping a union from having bargaining power is more government not less. Trying to repress the working man while giving tax breaks to the insanely wealthy.. Prepare for the revolt. Politicians should remember that the gated communities are historically the firt to fall.
Democrat judicial hack, owned by the union thugs...
You go judge!!!Finally , common sense prevailing amonst the anti-union busting politics and smear tactics.
Walker and the Fitz boys have spun out of control- in Wisconsin. Corruption, LIES, unethical, unlawful, practice, extremeist tactics. It is awful to live here at this time. This seriously unqualified governor has turned the middle class against each other in attempts to have people side with him and his extreme laws. it is clear he is over his head and has no idea what to do to dig out of the mess he caused this beautiful state. People are angry at each other. It is very ugly. I hope Walker is proud of is destruction of our state. how does this guy sleep at night? oh yeah his wealthy backers are happy-so then is he.
Implement the law!
Our economy needs a much more realistic union influence so we can compete with other nations in productivity and trade.
Our union leaders need to examine Asian unions and model ours after them.
THAT WOULD MAKE JOBS!
Here!
For us!
Silly judge – don't you understand that Gov. Walker and his cohorts view the law as an instrument to force their will upon others and not as a system of community rules that they themselves are beholden to – just like all fascists.
This action is an abuse of judicial authority. It is an attempt by cowardly Democrats to gain through the courts what they were unable to do in the legislature. In the end this will be unsuccessful like the protests and trashing of the capital by union thugs.
Circuit Court Judge Maryann Sumi seems to have a bit of a God complex (as many judges do).
