Washington (CNN) - If life (and politics) sometimes seems stuck in the ninth grade, the recent gyrations between the White House and congressional Republicans is a perfect case in point. The topic: averting a government shutdown. The meeting: on Capitol Hill between House GOPers and Senate Democrats.

Not invited to the party (or so they say): The White House.

I don't count the white house in the juvenile antics. This is all the republicans/tea partiers that think running this government is a game to score cheap political points. They're pathetic. Grow up or get out.

We are the American family? I thought I was the "enemy" and relegated to the back seat?

Words matter. Elections matter. If he has a better budget, present it. Too bad they were political on the budget process when they were in charge.

    His rhetoric is really unbecoming.

Juvenile. I could not have said it better myself. Hopefully, some of our elected officials will begin looking forward instead of thinking backwards.

this democrat wants a shut down of goverment because it will have an effect of lowing the dollar value on the world market. we have for to long had a goverment in wasington trying to keep the dollar value up for the rich who base their wealth on the dollar. its time for the rich to take a big hit on their value just like american home owners have. a lower valued dollar makes imports cost more when compared to american made goods. increased demand for american made goods will help the job market. i can't wait to see the republicans screw their rich buddies and corperations right out of their money they are all sitting on. the stock market will look very good to other people in other countries because they will be able to buy more for their higher valued dollar. the people from outside of this country will want these american corperations to invest and grow their money unlike what these corperations are doing now by sitting on large amounts of money. the tea party wants a shut down for all the wrong reasons because they don't understand basic economics. this is going to finally help the middle class for a change. the big defense contractors will take one right were it hurts because their payments will be stopped by the very party the pay so much to keep in office the republicans. HURRY HURRY PLEASE SHUT IT DOWN SOON!

If you want to change Congress, go after the corporations funding our representatives. Boycott. Pickett. Tell them to get out of the way of the people. The Supreme Court opened the flood gates deliberately to allow government to be handed over to big business. They can't hire people because they are paying lobbists and bribing Congressmen. As for the Tea Party-they have a lot in common with the Roman Empire. Get rid of the Statue of Liberty that welcomes, the tired, the hungry and the poor; instead, take that group and throw them to the lions. Well...I'm putting on my Gladiator armor and they are going to have a tough time taking me down.

If we are paying attention, since the Nov. elections of 2010, the republican governors have taken away everything from the middle class and poor. Not one of them has raised taxes on the millionaires and billionaires. They have given tax breaks to big business, etc.
The Republican party in the House of Representatives, led by the Tea Party, have cut funds for middle class and poor famillies. Notice, no mention of tax increases for the wealthy, continuation of tax breaks for big oil and big business. It is not about saving money, it is about throwing the middle class and poor under the bus. It is ideology: defund Planned Parenthood (which is a fine organization), Defund National Public Radio (NPR) why, they do not want a news agency that is completely fair and balanced and tells the truth and reports the news.
We should blame ourselves, we listened to lies and hate. Those who beleived voted. Those who did not care did not vote. We are not a very intelligent country. We voted agianst President Obama for one reason only, we did not want a President who is black.......Shame, Shame......You now get what you all deserve. Unfortunately, many people will get hurt. We will lose many jobs because of the Tea Party nut jobs.
