THERE WILL DEFINITELY BE A SHUT DOWN. [R]s don't care. Anything to try and ruin our president. Negotiation is never a means to any issue relating to his failure. Brace yourselves people – it's coming.

Really? I have been hearing "50-50" all day long. Being a government employee, and non essential, and making a smaller check then I could be in the private industry, I am really hoping the partisan politics can be put on the back burner. Hope does spring eternal.....

The Democrats have done their job in this respect: they approached the Republicans with a compromise, agreeing to just over half of their proposed cuts. The Republicans? They spit in the Democrats' face and hold the government hostage. This is no way to run the country.

SHUTDOWN and all Around
Look at all of the congressional Clowns
Boehner’s face is wearing a Frown
CAN’Tor thinks he’s wearing the Crown
The far-Right trying to run THIS Town
Thinking they are ABOVE ALL in this showdown
The Democrats –about time – giving the thumbs-down
PLEASE stick to your guns and NOT be taken DOWN!!!
The Tea Party and the Republicans should start realizing that America is NOT only made up of THEM!!! It is understandable that we need to cut spending but when TAX CUTS were extended for the top 1% – TAX BREAKS are on the table to give to CORPORATIONS – Governors LIED to their constituents JUST to get elected in 2010, ONLY to turn around and STRIP bargaining rights from the middle class –THIS is where the majority of Americans are NOT HAVING IT and will fight and/or RECALL everyone!!! I live in CAN’Tor’s district and he is NOT representing ME. And trust me – there are MANY more that feels the same way! Watch Out Cantor – unless your governor in VA redistricts you in order to SAVE your job – you’re in TROUBLE!!

I agree that a shut down is failure, the problem is if our government fails to provide a stable economy, who's going to pick up the peices and put it all back together? especially when we can not work together,or at least compromise. How do you find any solutions if you can not agree on the problems that politicians are creating. Damn Tea Party!! The Dems fixed it once under Clinton. The tea party will not allow that to happen again!! Plus this will reflect on Obama's Presidency if a shutgown occurs. Sounds like a plan that will make it harder for my children and yours.
