Palin unfavorable rating reaches new high

Washington (CNN) – Sarah Palin is getting more bad polling news: her unfavorable rating has reached an all time high in a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal survey.

According to the new poll released Wednesday, 53 percent of all Americans say they hold a negative or very negative view of the former Alaska governor while only 25 percent give Palin high marks.

That compares to the 50 percent unfavorable rating Palin registered in a similar NBC/Wall Street Journal poll last December and a 45 percent unfavorable rating the former vice presidential nominee garnered one year ago.

And less than 50 percent of Republicans polled have a favorable view of the 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee for president, 25 percent say they have an unfavorable view. When in comes to those without allegiance to a political party, almost two in ten independents have a favorable view of Palin and more than half have an unfavorable opinion of her. Eight in ten Democrats do not have a favorable opinion of Palin.

The NBC/WSJ poll - which surveyed 1,000 Americans by telephone from March 31-April 4 and carries a 3 percentage point sampling error – is the latest in a string of polls showing Palin headed in the wrong direction as she contemplates a presidential bid.

According to a Gallup survey late last month, Palin's support among likely Republican primary voters continues to decline. That survey showed the Alaska Republican drawing 12 percent of support from Republicans and Republican-leaning independents – a 4 percent decline from a similar survey conducted one earlier.

Those results were also similar to a CNN/Opinion Research Corp. poll last month showing Palin had fallen 7 points between January and March, from 19 percent to 12 percent.

Just goes to show that Americans do not want a woman running around the country spouting off about "cross hairs" and "reloading". and trying to act like a man and grow "cajones".

We may never know if her rhetoric caused the Tuscon killings but one thing is for sure, it certainly did nothing to prevent that shooting.

We look to woman to 'nurture" not go around advocating killing and revolutions.

We men have screwed this country bad enough WITH our gonads and chest thumping, we do not need a moronette running around the country doing the same just because she suffers from "penis envy"!

Count me in the 25%. Sarah Palin is a star. I love the controversy that she gets. Very few of her detractors however ever get beyond personal attacks because they don't have good arguments against her ideas. She is consistent in her support of small government, serving the needs of the people and the country rather than the politicians and the political party. And she is consistent with a strong set of values that stand firm against alll of the stones the liberals try to throw at her and her family. Sarah gives me confidence that the first female president will be a Republican, not a Democrat.

There's hope after all that the American public has seen through this money-grubbing, uninformed, provincial nitwit. Now CNN just needs to stop reporting her every antic, and those of her offspring,

Finally! The fog is lifting and people are see this dimwit for exactly what she is. Hateful, bigoted, deceitful, loud-mouthed and most of all, a liar! Thank God people are seeing her for what she is. Now, if they can only apply that same insight to the rest of the divissive tea partiers, we can maybe get our country back on track! As everyone knows, if it weren't for the tp'ers, this whole budget thing would have been settled long ago.

    Trump/Palin 2012? Palin/Trump 2012?

Got to be one or the other. No way both of those inflated egos would fit in the White House.

Actually, I'm amazed it's taken this long for people to realize she would be a terrible leader. Not that we really have any good leaders at all in politics.

  22. The Real Tom Paine

The decline among primary voters is partly due to the size of the potential field. Trump has bled off a lot of support, which could best be catagorised as the "Reality star" vote. However, the simple truth is that she has undermined herself, and that her support was always soft. THE GOP knows they need to project a calm, managerial type, and a shrill ideologue with no real private sector experience who quit 30 months into her term to go make money is NOT the image they need. Her supporters in the GOP are like the Jesse Jackson supporters in 1988, who ignored the glaring inadequecies of the person because he said what they wanted to hear. Palin tells people what they want to hear, but she does not have the slightest idea of how to solve a real problem. Thats why her support is crumbling like a sand castle at high tide.

I think she's great. She has more experience than our present Pres did when he took office. She actually believes one should be responsible for our debts!! Something NBC apparantly doesn't agree with. Do they keep borrowing to pay bills

It's a naturally occuring event. Ones dislike for this IDIOT grows on you. The more of her you see and hear, the more of her stupidity surfaces. She even had to hire a Chief of Staff because her other COS (Todd) got tired of doing the job.
