The price of a shutdown

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) - So if the federal government shuts down, taxpayers would save a lot of money, right?

Not quite.

It would actually cost taxpayers money. And for every day the shutdown continues, the bill would go up.

The shut down can't cost any more than Dirty harry and Obummie want to spend. SHUT HER DOWN....SHUT HER DOWN.

Something else we can thank Boo Hoo for: INCREASING the deficit, whilst claiming to be decreasing it.
Wouldn't it be funny after all is said and done if the cost of this shutdown was EQUAL to the amount they claim they'd be SAVING the government with their mad-slash cuts?
Maybe not HA HA funny, but funny nonetheless.

It is very unfortunate to get to this point. But I understand that the House of Representatives has passed a short term funding bill to avert this. Do the Democratic Senate and Obama Administration still want to cause a shutdown? Why?

The Tea Party and their lackeys in Congress would be responsible for a Government shutdown.

Why in all the stories do we only see the park service and the smitthisonian? What about all the national forest campgrounds, and other things Americans are enjoying this spring?

Cuts that gouge the middle and lower classes while giving tax breaks to the oil companies, wallstreet bankers and mega rich corporation. This is simply UNAMERICAN. PERIOD.

The Democrats are new Party of No! They've had three years and still dont have a viable plan. Now all they can do is obstruct real ideas. They will once again suffer losses in the next election as they haven't learned to take care of their own greed and corruption.

I'm a 99er. As of next week, I will not be receiving any more unemployment benefits. My wife is a government employee. She is now facing a shut-down. How are we supposed to make ends meet? I just heard Michelle Bachmann on the John King Show. She basically said that she was unaware of how Obama-care passed in the middle of the night with no oversight for $105 billion in spending. No offense, was she really not paying attention when it crossed her desk? Don't they realize this affects real people's lives?
