Palin calls Obama actions 'appalling'

Washington (CNN) - Calling President Obama's handling of the budget showdown "appalling," Sarah Palin is adding her voice to GOP clamor that he is playing politics with the U.S. military in an effort to get his way on spending.

In a posting on Facebook Friday, Palin blasts Obama for his refusal to sign a Republican-backed bill that aimed to cut spending by $12 billion and fund the Pentagon for the remainder of the current fiscal year.

The president and Democrats opposed the measure because of the programs it would cut, including a provision that would prevent Washington, DC taxpayer money to be used to fund abortion providers.

But Palin charges the president's real concern is about funding such organizations as National Public Radio.

"Essentially, he's holding military funding hostage to NPR funding. This is a perfect analogy for what is wrong with this entire budget showdown," writes Palin. "Our federal government has strayed so far from what is constitutionally mandated that they are blind to the fact that NPR funding is not a constitutional duty. Funding our military at a time of war is!"

"It's about time the President step up to the plate and lead responsibly. Our troops who are putting themselves in harm's way deserve a Commander in Chief who is not AWOL from the debt debate," Palin continues. "The American people deserve a president who will take on the tough challenges and understand that funding 'Car Talk' is not as crucial as funding our troops at a time of three wars."

And not funding the Federal Govenrment fully during the course of two wars and allowing the national debt to continue at high levels by not paying it down and buying votes with promised tax rebates is in large part why we're here in the first place. I'm trying to stay civil here but it's the Republicans that put the DoD budget and the ideological items in the bill in the first place. If you think the President is threatening to veto because of funding for NPR you've been drinking way too much kool-aid!

Where have all of these conservative voices been throughout this entire week? Voices that should have messaging from the roof tops. Who am I talking about? Newt, Rove, Palin, and others have spoken all in the course of a few short hours. There's more to come.

Somebody over at the GOTP turned up the bubble machine. Spin is in high gear. It is far more subtle than you realize.

Governor Palin is right on, Obama is rediculous, it matters more to him NPR get funded rather than pay our troops. Something is wrong, is he getting kickbacks from NPR and Planned Parenthood so that he can fund Soros and his dream to rule the world. It just doesn't make sense, like the war in Libya, what is truly going on.

    Oh, I forgot to mention,
Having a vice president who famously stated that "deficits don't matter" isn't helping your side very much either.

If these backward repugs wanted to fund the troops why bother adding the soci issues they don't like to a tags use the dems, now let the senators send a measure to pay the troops by adding 12 billions dollers in cut for the rich and see how they'd react. They would go tea bagging crazy, I guest playing politics don't feel that good huh tea baggers.

  13. Go Away Palin!!!

this woman is such a friggin idiot I can't believe it. So now Planned Parenthood is an abortion provider. Planned Parent Hood provides about 3% of their budget to abortions if the person makes that CHOICE. Remember that Palin you and your family made a CHOICE for your dimwitt daughter to keep the baby. Planned Parent Hood provides education and screening for STD's cancer and many other t hings and the last thing they want to do is abortion. On top of all this the Public knows the game, this is all GOP BS. Keep it up all you are doing is strengthening a guaranteed win for President Obama come 2012. Go back under your rock with your moose chili and your wolf, and polar bear killing clubs!!!!

So it's NOT about Teapublicans are playing politics with the budget? Seems to me that the Teas are holding up billions in military funding in order to de-fund health care for poor women.

But this is Palin The Grifter speaking....

Wow, what a surprise, and I thought she was going to praise him! But really, who cares what Sarah Cretin says anyway. It's always the same. The GOP has shown NO flexibility in these discussions, while the Dems have gone more than halfway in an effort at compromise. That's GOP/Tea Party compromise for you. Oh wait— they said that there would be no compromise. They act like spoiled children.
