Bachmann: A one-term president

Washington (CNN) – Michele Bachmann just may be a one-term president.

That's what the Minnesota Republican is pledging should she ultimately decide to run for president and win the White House, providing she can "turn things around" in that time frame.

"I'm a principled reformer, and my goal is to see the country turn around," Bachmann told the Des Moines Register in an interview published Monday. "I'm also committed to being a one-term president if that's what it takes in order to turn things around, because this is not about a personal ambition."

"It's about getting our financial house in order and to become respected again in the world on an international scale," she added.

Bachmann's comments come the same day she is in the Hawkeye State to deliver a speech to social conservatives in Pella.

On Monday, Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann and Texas Rep. Ron Paul will deliver speeches in Iowa, she to social conservatives in Pella and he to a Family Leader group in Sioux Center.

    1. Bachmann doesn't know anything and so would not be in a position to turn things around, and she wouldn't get elected anyway.

    2. Almost no one who pledges one-term sticks to that.

    3. 2 is irrelevant b/c of 1.

Lord help us if this digbat decides to run and somehow manages to get elected. Our country and our standards haven't sunk that low. She's a freakish clown, not a serious contender.

Really??? Nobody in the right frame of mind would want to become president at least in part for themselves. Running for President (or any other olitical office0 is at least in part about personal ambition. In addition, what makes her )or anybody) think they can turn thsi country around in one term? Whiel I am not a tea party fan i giver her credit, I mean Palin didn't even finish ONE term as gov! The people (all of them) will just about say anythign to get in office. If she ever won, then she will surely run for a second term and simply dismiss her comments"Oh..I mis-spoke". Really????

Curious choice of pictures. She is doing 1 of 3 things, and only one is flattering. What is she doing?

    1. Waving to the crowd.
    2. Doing a Nazi salute.
    3. Preparing to throw out some force lightning.

Of course, she is waving to crowd.

I can't think of anything more likely to make our country an international laughingstock than a Bachmann presidency. Well, maybe a Palin or a Trump presidency.

She probably thinks if she acted like Sarah Palin and is a 1 term Pres like Palin was a 1 term governor that whack job special interest groups will pay her millions to embarass herself from coast to coast and pontificate about things she clearly doesnt understand. Bachman clearly doesnt have Palins T & A (her only talent) and because she doesnt she wont garner any attention. Palin was so dumb &cutesy when she told the world she would be good delegating world affairs because she could see Russia from her house. Only a fox could get a way with something like that. Do you actually think if Palin looked like Janet Reno anyone would pay any attention to her? Get some breast augmentation and a personal trainer Bachman and no one will care what it is you say. The worst thing you or Palin could do for your "political " career is to get fat. You betcha.*winks*

Part of the solution the Tea Partyers violently oppose is the return to 2000 tax rates on those ultra rich top 1-2% folks. ----By the way, where do those rich folks park their $250K RVs while they attend the marches???

Obviously delusional since everything that would need to be done requires the concent of Congress. I guess that she isn't paying attention to what she is supposed to do in the House and what the president is supposed to do.

Michelle, you ignorant bagger, the country is turning around from the Bush/republican debacle. I am sure that your "No!" votes did not help, but thanks for playing.

Think about how low you'd have to stoop to find anything Michele Bachmann says as being credible. Minnesota, this whako was your best choice for a representative? Goodgawd, things must have slipped in a seriously way there.

Before Michelle tries to turn around the country, she needs to turn around her thinking to logic rather than nonsequitors. Accurately stating the facts on anything she talks about, rather than making up her own "facts", might also be helpful. Until then, she's just another self-styled idiot.

I heard if she turns this country around, she'd think the west coast was the east coast.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. This women is delusional. The closest she'll get to the white house is standing outside with her hands on the fence staring in sadly until the Secret Service comes along and takes her away in a straight jacket
