Wisconsin governor takes union fight to Congress

WASHINGTON (CNNMoney) - The controversial governor of Wisconsin defended his efforts to limit public employees' collective bargaining rights and make them pay more toward pension and health care costs at a congressional hearing on Thursday.

Gov. Scott Walker, a Republican, compared his actions in Wisconsin to other states that are laying off public employees and increasing property taxes

"The numbers that do support you are far greater than the numbers that don't support you."

Right...as long as you're looking at them backwards. Do you consciously choose to view the world though confirmation bias lenses or does it just come naturally for you?

    Did he talk about:
    1. His 140M dollar tax cuts to corporations, or
    2. His no-bid contracts for Power Plant sales, some say a thank-you to the Koch brothers, or
    3. How these without these two things, the deficit could have been solved without using the tactic of
    no collective bargaining?
He is a weak, do as "they" say detriment to Wisconsin.

I think unions are a thing of the past. Sure, they have their place in history by protecting workers' rights. But they've become more of a hindrance than anything by being no more than political hacks for the democrat party. They have no concept of working toward a goal, team initiatives or personal growth. It's more like 'what's in it for me?' and 'how can I get away with working less and getting paid more?' It's time to move on, America.

Scott Walker will do anything to get on camera. Typical behavior is to call in the press to see him serving Christmas dinner and leave the second the cameras leave. He's addicted to attention and the limelight and has always, always done whatever it takes to get on TV. The man is a creep and an egomaniac. He is living his dream, no matter how low he has to crawl. Yeeeech! He and his tactics are disgusting and despicable.

Poor little Scooter-Didn't think anyone would find out your true intent, did you? You can call it budget reduction, or fixing the budget...but everyone knows, that is a lie. Your real and true intent was to bust unions because your puppet masters, the KOCH brothers demanded that to make it easier for them to steal from and rape the middle-class even further. Well, it's all come back to bite you in the but., Scooter...can't say that I feel any pity for you, because that would also be a lie. Karma's a female dog, isn't it Scooter? Next up-or more appropriately, going down--the Koch's....hey, I can dream!

If you love this country, stop scr8wing around with the middle class and have the rich pay their taxes...budget problem solved, mostly.
Obama's $250k/ year billionaires...the top 2% of earners pay 40% of the governments personal tax revenues. Consider yourself a victim of the Democratic Spin Machine. They count on your support so they can tax their way out of the spending binge they have been on for 2 years!

@Frank, I do love this country. That's why my wife and I are for our taxes to be increased even though we are nowhere near the top 2% and we live paycheck to paycheck while trying to provide the best future for our daughters. Us paying a little more in taxes will go just as far as decrasing spending and when you put the 2 together things get better real quick. it also ensures that the Repubs can shut their fat mouths and keep away from vital programs that support future progress in education, research, and technology. I don't want to read anymore news like I read this morning that China has surpassed us in computer technology. I thought we are the powerhouse? We don't act like it right now. China, South Korea, and others are catching up and in some cases are pulling away. If you want to go live the simple life go right ahead but don't drag us down with you.
