President to sign congress budget deal

(CNN) - President Barack Obama is expected to sign legislation Friday afternoon funding the federal government for the remainder of the current fiscal year, according to a senior administration official.

The measure, which was approved by Congress on Thursday, would cut spending by roughly $38 billion.

This budget is a complete joke. Where are the cuts? Where is the $100,000 in cuts? Sad day.

Common sense says that prevention is 99% of the cure. The cure is the role of government in a democracy.

Many of the poor are victim of their own circumstances and environment. They were born and raised in rural areas that lacked good education. They were born in urban areas that lacked good education. These groups cannot find higher paying jobs because they lack the educational background to qualify for those jobs. And so, many of these people wind up on government assistance of one form or many.

We should think about the things we cut, and where money is spent. Our country can be no stronger than its' weakest members. If we allow an entire segment of society to wallow and deteriorate, then it will simply spread and consume our entire country.

I feel the country is on that path already, and has been for some time. There is even a name for it that you have heard of before. It is called the War on the Middle Class. And now some are wanting to throw the poor and the elderly into that war, too.

To cut substantively in the 2012 budget, defund the do nothing agencies; e.g., MMS, USAID, DOEd, DOEn, DOC, NEA, NLRB, HHS, EPA, OPM, DARPA, FDA (yes, I know they are d****d if they do release/recall and d****d if they don't) et al. What does government provide as a real product beyond those in security/defense? What effort does government do to produce one drop of oil revenue? What does government do to produce one loaf of bread. Oh, they manage.
