President Obama signs budget deal

WASHINGTON (CNN) - President Barack Obama signed the budget agreement covering federal spending for the remainder of the current fiscal year on Friday, an administration official said, bringing an end to any remaining fears of a government shutdown.

The bipartisan deal, which won approval Thursday from both the House and Senate, cuts $38.5 billion in spending while funding the government through September 30.

I truly believe Bush/Cheney left this mess for the next people in office. The two wars (each never declared a war) put us into Trillion dollar wars. Republicians take care of themselves and the rich.

Absolutely. And yes they do take REALLY GOOD CARE of each other, how else can you even begin to explain where they got the money to fund the Iraqui war and managed to keep the cost of said war COMPLETELY OF THE BOOKS?!
Yet heavens forbid if President Obama does not fully disclose the $2.00 he spent at Starbucks'.......

Hey; it's time you people came up with something besides blaming Bush/Cheney. What about Obama's Libya; was that Bush's fault also. When everything is said and done Bush will look like a saint compared to the failures Obama has. How's $4 plus a gallon for gas working out for ya? I know that Bush's fault also.

Why don't Obama, the media or any member of congress speak about ending all wars? We could save trillions without having to raise taxes and make spending cuts.

I don't oppose the wars ideologically – we simply cannot afford them. We're making cuts at home and paying more in taxes to fight countries that pose absolutely no threat to the US. It's time to bring all of our troops home and take care of our own citizens at home
