Palin to GOP: ‘Learn how to fight like a girl’

(CNN) – Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin challenged GOP leaders to “fight like a girl” Saturday at a Tea Party Tax Day rally in Madison, Wisconsin. Unafraid to “take on the GOP establishment,” she offered suggestions to garner Tea Party support.

“If you stand by your platform, if you stand by your pledges, we will stand with you, we will fight with you, GOP, we will have your back,” she declared.

“What we need is for you to stand up, GOP, and fight. GOP leaders need to learn how to fight like a girl.”

The 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee heralded Madison as an example for Republicans to follow by recalling the Wisconsin legislature’s approval of a controversial bill that restricts the collective bargaining rights of unions.

“I’m in Madison because this is where real courage and real solidarity can be found,” she said.

“You saw these violent rent-a-mobs trash your capital and vandalize businesses. You held your ground. Your governor did the same thing. And you won.”

Palin defended Gov. Scott Walker’s union-limiting legislation because “he understands that states must be solvent to keep their promises” and “a pension is a promise that must be kept.”

And the possible 2012 GOP nominee hopeful painted events in Madison as a lesson Republicans can learn from. Criticizing GOP leaders for promising to cut $100 billion in federal spending but compromising at $38 billion in the recent bipartisan budget agreement, Palin said, “That’s not courage, that is capitulation.”

She also had strong words for the president, blasting him for getting the country into a “third war” it can’t afford, cutting off oil development and “misrepresenting” deficit spending.

“You ignored us in 2010,” she said. “But you cannot ignore us in 2012.

And to the crowd gathered in Madison, Palin promised a place in history.

“When the history of the Tea Party is written, what you accomplished here will not be forgotten. And the 2012 election begins here,” she affirmed.

To drive the point home, Palin recalled the Green Bay Packers’ 2011 Super Bowl win, saying, “What better place to call out the liberal left and let them know, Mr. President, game on!”

Folks accomplish more by cooperating than by fighting, Ms. Palin. Your adversarial mentality is dividing not uniting people. Grow up!

  4. Please God No

Wow. Just, wow. Palin really thinks that Gov Scott Walker cares about solvency...when he made the state insolvent by granting huge tax breaks to corporation and richies?? "A pension is a promise that must be kept..." what is she talking about, when Walker is basically saying "Hah!" to the state workers who thought they were working for a pension? The Tea Party is dead wrong for America. It cares nothing about actual people, only principles it doesn't even understand because it lacks (well, its members such as Palin lack) the reading the comprehension skills. Go ahead and run, Sarah. There aren't enough stupid people to vote for ya.

Sound bite Sarah strikes again If she didn't have talking points and sound bites she couldn't give a speech. How about talking about solutions to our problems instead of just being so negative all the time. The general public is tired of your negativity with nothing to offer. Go back to Alaska and have someone write another book for you.

Palin and Trump (other then their bitterly fighting over who would be on top) wouldn't that really be a combination. All the antics and bazaar attention getting would likely be entertaining for a short while but the inept performances and the catering as 'puppets' to Special Interests and the few, who would strongly support them and 'pull their strings', would quickly prove frustrating and costly.

"Learn how to fight like a girl." Who are we talking about here?
    Sara Palin?
    Christine O'Donnell?
    Michelle Bachmann?
    Susan Angle?
    Jan Brewer?

There really aren't a lot of good female model in the GOP
Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins are, intelligent, thoughtful individuals; but like most reasonable level headed people not exactly the model the rabid right wing of the Republic party is promoting these days

Vandaliized your businesses and trashed your Capitol! Is this lady for real. Almost 500,000 of us marched and after weeks there was one window broken and paid for by the person who broke it accidentally and $200 of cleaning to marble that needed to be scrubbed. Oh, Not the $7,500,000 that Walker's office said was done! (lair) Oh, I was part of the rent a mob and drove 45 miles to get there. I talked with two people from Minnesota otherwise all the people I talked to were from Wisconsin. This woman needs to stay home when she doesn't know what she its talking about!

But now we will see and hear the left on this left-wing blog site spew their hatred and bigotry towards Palin in 3......2.........1. Have at it violent left-wing haters.

Where was Palin when Michelle Bachmann was right in their talking about the budget, Bachmann didn't go into hiding, she hung right in their with the boys. Palin came out of hiding after the budget talks were over because numbers and politics of substance are way over her head. Palin is limited to only using street talk, you know the simple minded stuff, she's pathetic.
