Palin to GOP: ‘Learn how to fight like a girl’

(CNN) – Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin challenged GOP leaders to “fight like a girl” Saturday at a Tea Party Tax Day rally in Madison, Wisconsin. Unafraid to “take on the GOP establishment,” she offered suggestions to garner Tea Party support.

“If you stand by your platform, if you stand by your pledges, we will stand with you, we will fight with you, GOP, we will have your back,” she declared.

“What we need is for you to stand up, GOP, and fight. GOP leaders need to learn how to fight like a girl.”

The 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee heralded Madison as an example for Republicans to follow by recalling the Wisconsin legislature’s approval of a controversial bill that restricts the collective bargaining rights of unions.

“I’m in Madison because this is where real courage and real solidarity can be found,” she said.

“You saw these violent rent-a-mobs trash your capital and vandalize businesses. You held your ground. Your governor did the same thing. And you won.”

Palin defended Gov. Scott Walker’s union-limiting legislation because “he understands that states must be solvent to keep their promises” and “a pension is a promise that must be kept.”

And the possible 2012 GOP nominee hopeful painted events in Madison as a lesson Republicans can learn from. Criticizing GOP leaders for promising to cut $100 billion in federal spending but compromising at $38 billion in the recent bipartisan budget agreement, Palin said, “That’s not courage, that is capitulation.”

She also had strong words for the president, blasting him for getting the country into a “third war” it can’t afford, cutting off oil development and “misrepresenting” deficit spending.

“You ignored us in 2010,” she said. “But you cannot ignore us in 2012.

And to the crowd gathered in Madison, Palin promised a place in history.

“When the history of the Tea Party is written, what you accomplished here will not be forgotten. And the 2012 election begins here,” she affirmed.

To drive the point home, Palin recalled the Green Bay Packers’ 2011 Super Bowl win, saying, “What better place to call out the liberal left and let them know, Mr. President, game on!”

This woman is a loon. First it was "man up," and now it's "fight like a girl." Why can't she just keep her mouth shut?

It is hilarious that Palin preaches "stand up" for this and "stand up" for that when she completely failed at standing up for Alaska. Why people go to listen to a quitter just proves her supporters are fools."learn to fight like a girl" and what quit your elected position ? Proven losers getting paid for pep rally speeches is a joke.

Speaker Boehner already fights like a girl. He cries at the drop of a hat. The rest of the Republicans scratch and claw and scream just like girls. Maybe we could get a calm adult to help govern the country.

The voice of the Tea Party... Think of a system that would make this shallow, severely limited twit filthy rich. Soldiers, teachers, fire fighters, policemen, and yes, hard-working union workers work to actually build America stronger. Yet this bimbo and her entire family are the voices the angry, frightened, old white want to hear. What are they thinking?

Fight?? The GOP needs to learn to work with others! They need to learn to govern with others! This egomaniacal need to be dictators and destroy America should be the watermark that proves these people are inept and unable to be in any office.

The GOP needs to learn to stop acting like spoiled 14 year olds throwing a temper tantrum.

Yes...Wisconsin was important because it shows what the republican party stands for.....THE RICH.....certainly not the middle class. I,m from Kentucky and most folks here leave their trailer on election day and get in a 10 year old car and buy some 4 dollar gas and go and vote for more tax breaks for the rich and farm subsidies for rich factory farms and money give aways for big oil and budgets balanced at the expense of the middle class. Then they go back to their trailer and wonder why yhey cant seem to get ahead.Still....they wonder

Sarah Palin has now met her match. "the" Donald is more experienced at dirty business and he will eat her for lunch. True enough, he has realized that this nonentity has made millions because of her ignorance while he has more savvy or outright skullduggery, he wants to cash in on the movement. Do not be confused, "the" Donald will out do her, and what better way than to buy into this Birther idiocy. People, you and I are being played,, and for what? The trash of America wants to make a few more bucks off us. .

Anybody who saw this on TV could hear Sarah's microphone feed loud and clear. I was there in person, and this article belies the slightly important fact that nobody who was actually at the rally could hear anything Palin was saying over the deafening boos of the counterprotest crowd, which made up about 90% of the overall crowd. It was quite funny. The speaker who introduced her told the crowd to "go to hell" four times because he was so mad about getting shouted down. Just thought you should know that because this article paints a quite different picture.

“You saw these violent rent-a-mobs trash your capital and vandalize businesses.” By the media accounts that I’ve read the protests in Madison were all peaceful. The State Capitol needed to be cleaned up, not because of acts of destruction or rioting, but because people were camped out there 24/7. Palin, with her usual manipulation of the facts and ‘incite the mob mentality’, wants to paint the protestors as being evil seditionists and anarchists, instead of working Americans who were exercising their Constitutional rights by participating in peaceful protests. Frau Goebbels has never been one to let facts or the truth get in the way of finding gullible audiences to help pad her bank account, so its back to her usual boorish behavior of lie, divide and manipulate, and let the money roll in..

Palin and others have read too much into the 2010 midterm elections. The liberals in the country vote in smaller numbers during the midterms. They also had some great organization and anti-incumbant sentiment. I failed to hear what plan she had other than refuse to neogiate and cut spending. There was no description as to what spending she wanted cut which is I guess too much to ask from someone like her who doesn't fully understand what the government does.

Yet again Palin stands by on the sidelines and cheers on the teaparty possibly to insite them for all the wrong reasons, such as Scott Walker the Gov. of Wisconson who's only reason to sign the bill was not finacial reform of the state but to tear down unions and the hard working class poeple of the great state of Wisconson, being a Chicago Bears fan i never thought i would call Wisconson a great state but for the poeple to go to such great lengths to protect the right of the working class when attacked by no less a politian who was voted in by the poeple to do his or her job and better the state not tear it down yes a big kudos has to go to the great state of Wisconson and to all the sons and daughters of the poeple therein, and as to Sahra Palin well i think she can sum up what she stands for every time she gives a speech like the one she gave in the great state of Wisconson.

Sarah Palin criticized the President for not acting on Libya soon enough and now she is talking from both side of her mouth.
She never offers any solutions and is now saying the President is AWOL well she is the poster girl for AWOL of Alasksa

She made a lot of money off of the Tea Partiers and others who believed the lies and misinformation she was telling on the President. Another book deal might be in the workings and some will add to her fortunes.

If she is encouraging the GOP to fight like her, she should have said right like an ignorant, lying idiot. The GOP does have the lying part down extremely well already though.
