Budget debate shifts to raising debt ceiling

Washington (CNN) - An escalating national debate on federal deficits and government spending focused Sunday on the upcoming deadline for Congress to increase the amount of money that the United States can borrow.

Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner said congressional leaders told President Barack Obama last week that they will raise the federal debt ceiling when it reaches its limit, which is expected to happen sometime within the next 10 weeks.

Spend; spend and tax; tax is all the democrats talk about. There is an alternative; cut spending Geithner but you and the other demo's as well as a lot of republicans don't know that. Reality is fixing to hit this country; economy is going to tank again due to out of controll spending and high energy costs. Wait and see if you don't believe me.

I say and say again. Back when bush became president I knew we were in trouble, people went to the polls TWICE for him, spending was through the roof under bush. I am military and watched on television as bush said over and over and over again for a clean bill to be sent to his desk and signed. Most of Obama's spending was left over TARP money from bush and the tax cuts for the rich. He had to spend money to get us out of trouble while as soon as he took office the retarded republicans started trying to lable him the big spender and crying socialism, what a dumb nation we have. The same republicans that sat on there hands then under bush are all of a sudden crying. Obama IS working extremely hard for the American people and some are to dumb or ignorant to realize it. Considering how hard the republicans are trying to destroy him and how he does not fade or always seems to be two steps ahead of them on the right side of history (he is a remarkable President) I am honored to serve under his leadership.
