'Chilling expose' on Palin to be released

(CNN) – Simon & Schuster is set to release a tell-all book by a former aide to Sarah Palin that the mega publishing house is promising will provide an "explosive, up-close view" of the former Alaska governor.

The upcoming book, by former aide Frank Bailey, will be released May 24 and promises to be a "chilling expose," according to Howard Books, the imprint of Simon & Schuster that is publishing the book.

Called "Blind Allegiance to Sarah Palin," the book will detail Bailey's observations of the governor from the time he joined her political team in 2006 until she resigned her governorship three years later.

Excerpts of the preliminary draft of the book were leaked to the Anchorage Daily News in February and reportedly included charges by Bailey that Palin despised her job as governor and may have broken campaign election laws in 2006.

The 500-page manuscript also reportedly described a Palin deeply exasperated with her political opponents and the heightened attacks she faced after being tapped to be the GOP vice presidential nominee in 2008. Palin resigned as governor in July of 2009.

The book is also written by Jeanne Devon, a longtime critic of the former governor who publishes the anti-Palin blog Mudflats, and California author Ken Morris, who has written anti-Palin articles on his own website

When the manuscript was first leaked, a Palin spokesperson said the former Alaska governor was not going to respond to "this kind of untruth."

Eh, as much as I support anything anti-Palin, none of these things sound like bombshells. What's more, the timing is a bit off: Palin has lost a ton of her mojo. She just isn't the powerful figure she was several months ago.

Add seer to her long list of accomplishments. She can tell the book is full of untruths without even reading it.

How come everything written about the Wassilla Imbecilla that is not from a conservative source is a lie?

The aid should have noted the the former gov. might not be able to read the book in question?

What's the point? If you don't already see her for what she is, you never will.

Good news. The Teaparty will as usual just listen to the rhetoric and not even read the book though, too bad.

When the manuscript was first leaked, a Palin spokesperson said the former Alaska governor was not going to respond to "this kind of untruth." By which she means the kind that makes her seem like she really is: a vapid, greedy fame whore.

I wouldn't trust the writings from any of these liberal attack dogs. Just like most blogers here, they just make stuff up and throw it out there just to get there rocks off.

who needs to read this book? we already know she is a complete disaster. Time to move on to Bachman and her stupidity. Example: She tried to convince her own constituents not to fill out their census form...

This is news? Even a cursory examination of Palin's career reveals an hypocritical, arrogant, petty, and self-righteous psychotic with an extreme narcissistic streak. She hates the media, yet wants to be loved and embraced by it. This is someone who is tempermentally unsuited for any high-profile position due to an inability to handle criticism of any kind, yet she certainly has no problem flinging it out. Lets hope this is the begininng of the end of a sorry career that was built at the expense of taxpayers dollars, and fueled by political operatives unaware of the pestilence John McCain unleashed on the world.

Why does this surprise anyone? She never has displayed a full grasp of the issues. I don't she has demonstrated what the basics are for being a president or even a governor. She seems to be only an unthinking ideologue. I would like to know what she has read, and who she has listened to because that would give us an idea of where she gets her ideas if she has any.

If there is one thing that we all know with absolute certainty about Sarah Palin, it is this: she was elected governor of Alaska... and then she quit half way through her term. Doesn't bode well if she decides to run for president.

When those who have worked for you, come out with a so-called expose; take it with a grain of salt. It is more likely that this little snip had a grudge against Mrs. Palin. We can't criticize the Obamas, because he walks on water, don't ya know. Obama is not God, despite what the democrats would have us believe.

I was dubious of her intellectual fortitude after that very revealing Katie Couric interview, but where Palin completely confirmed my doubts was when she resigned as Alaska's governor, citing ongoing attacks by her opponents and harassment by ethics investigations as her reasons. In other words, the job was just too difficult. Imagine how she would fare as President, having to deal with obstinate partisanship, budget crises, international conflicts, media pressure and personal and political attacks many, many times worse than what she "suffered" in Alaska. She completely disregarded the people who voted for her, who put their faith in her, and instead chased after celebrity and the Mighty Dollar. More importantly, she traded in a job that was too hard for one that treats her to adoring, laudatory crowds, that strokes her ego and validates her narrow world view. This shows that she not only lacks the brains for the job (governor, VP and President) but also the requisite "thick skin." She has shown herself to be vain, petty and incompetent. She's a lightweight, a media-created celebrity. She's not a subject worthy of a 500-page book, as far as I can see.

I can't wait. Hopefully the book will be elightening to those individuals who want to vote for fluff rather than substance.

Here is two books that were not mentioned by our media: Matthew Continetti's book "The Persecution of Sarah Palin" and Lorenzo Benet's book "Trail Blazer" The only 'chilling' thing about this story is the blind spot our media has when it comes to Sarah Palin. While The Donald was in the sunny, warm Disney state, Palin was in Frigid Wisconsin. In a cold and snowy day she went toe to toe with union boses. Her speach was made in the most liberal town of Madison. Only Palin could make that speech in front of the "rent a mop". That side of the story was not told.

Nothing would surprise me about the twit. She is what she appears to be; a user and a scammer. She is at the very least opportunistic and would sell her soul to get where she wants. This is not a person with leadership skills.
