Trump says he'll reveal 'interesting things' on Obama

(CNN) – Possibly-serious Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is giving few details about the investigation he claims to have launched in Hawaii to get to the bottom of where President Obama was born, but the business mogul told CNN Thursday Americans will be "very surprised" by what he has found.

"We're looking into it very, very strongly. At a certain point in time I'll be revealing some interesting things," Trump said on CNN's American Morning.

Trump first claimed earlier this month he had sent investigators to Obama's home state in an effort to find out if the president was indeed born there, as he says he was and several media organization's independent investigations have confirmed.

"I have people that have been studying it and they cannot believe what they're finding," Trump told NBC then.

But Trump has since offered few details about the on-the-ground investigation and, in the interview with CNN Thursday, wouldn't specifically say if it had uncovered new details.

"You'll be very surprised," he said when asked by CNN's Ali Velshi if his investigators have found anything.

During the interview with CNN, Trump also maintained he is worth considerably more than the $2.7 billion Forbes Magazine has estimated, and says he will reveal the real number if he decides to run for president.

I can tell you that's a very low number," Trump said of the Forbes estimate. "It's much more than that. And if I decide to run, which I very well may surprise people, but if I decide to run, I will give a net worth statement essentially. As you know, we have to fill out very detailed forms for the federal government. And I think people will be extremely impressed."

Trump is an idiot. Plain and simple. The people who follow him are just as ignorant at the ones who follow Palin. He has never mounted a successful bid for the White House and he never will.

This man Trump is growing hysterical every time he opens his mouth. He has nothing new. Who can think he is a person to keep something when he suspects it not alone proved it!

Trump absolutely blasted the show and called them out on their games. I had doubts, but after I saw how Mr. Trump stood up for himself and stood his ground, I am extremely impressed. it's time we got a president with big ones. I'm starting to consider him even more for president.

Trump is playing this like a TV show (Geraldo and the Al Capone vault). Republicans are certainly not known for being smart, but I don't how even they could fall for this.

The Donald is the consummate reality TV host. He is now vying for the role of host on the ultimate American reality TV show – our Presidential elections. We start with two major teams ("parties") and team members are voted off the show ("primaries"). The survivors from each team then compete for the ultimate prize ("President"). The Donald is using his name recognition and personal assets to obtain titillating information about all of the people on the show including members of both teams. He doesn't want to win – that would require actually being President – a job for which he is not qualified to do. He wants to build fame and fortune as the man who manipulates the players.

Ok, Trump... show us what you got. I'm no fan of Obama, but I hope this whole birther nonsense is put to rest once and for all. Obama has been using it to his advantage for far too long.

And one other thing, Trump... IF you're as smart as you boast, I hope you have iron-clad proof of whatever "interesting" things you dug up. Libel / slander are pretty serious offenses if proven.

    Rotsa ruck.

Ok, so Trump has some preconceived notions about Obama's birthplace. He hires a team of investigators and spends thousands (possibly hundreds of thousands) of dollars on them.

While it's the truth, there's no way they can come back and just say – "Yeah, we looked into it. He was definitely born in Hawaii according to this certificate." They're going to come up with some junk that says he's born in another country. If we already know the investigation is biased, why are we even listening?

It's like when an oil company sponsors a university study to prove that biofuels are ineffective.

Oooooh! It's almost like one of those soap operas cliffhangers!
"Stay tuned to me" Trumpster the Joker says.

Hysterical!! Other's have said it, this is nothing more than Trump playing and manipulating the media into giving him more publicity. This nation's politics have turned into a big standup comedy tour. There's no sitcom around right now any funnier than all these peeps, true entertainment.

Donald is in denial about that awful rug he calls hair. You would figure with all of the money he holds, Trump would purchase a better toupee. Anyway, it's political suicide to harp on President Obamas birth certificate, it's official, it's authentic, period. One thing for sure that isn't authentic is Trumps hair.

Trump is not funny any longer he is an extremely dangerous person, he is feeding into the lowest bottom feeders we have in our society and giving creedance to their beliefs, the racists and bigots who just want their hatred justified. Trump will do great danger to our society if this keeps up. Frankly he is an egomaniac gone wild and reasonable people have to stop feeding this pumped up fool with more publicity

One thing's a foregone conclusion: whatever he reveals will be less interesting "news" than him announcing that at some indeterminate future date he is going to reveal it.

If Trump is serious about the "birthplace" issue, he could had sent people to Kenya and not Hawaii to do the investigation whether he was born there.
