(CNN) - It's to be determined if she has the Alaskan accent down, but actress Julianne Moore appears to have nailed the look.
People Magazine has scored the first photograph of the actress in costume as the former Alaska governor for the upcoming HBO movie, Game Change.
Moore, a four-time Oscar nominee, was tapped last month to play the former vice presidential candidate in an HBO adaptation of the book by journalists Mark Halperin and John Heilemann that details the inner workings of the historic 2008 campaign.
Double Trouble
Is it true that in order to portray Palin accurately, Julianne had to get a lobotomy?
Well, she's no Tina Fey. Tina is so drop dead on that all others will be compared to her.
Alaskans have accents? News to me. We have such a diverse group of people here we have the ultimate NON-accent.
Oh hey, another article about something that isn't newsworthy. I wonder what HBO paid for this plug.
Next is a Palin casting call for a Boogie Nights sequel? With The Donald as Dirk Diggler?
common we need tina fey ...
A wig and glasses and presto....kinda like lipstick on a pig.
Hahaha this is gunna be good.
that's creepy!
I've always liked her (Moore, not Palin)
Oh boy, cutting edge stuff here !
I would think Panetta and the Fed policy would be the big ticker items for the day, not more food for Palin bashing.
Uh... and buy this you mean.. T. Fey?
Are we allowed to comment about Sarah Palin?
Tina Fey looked more like her.
OMG – there are two of them!!! LORD take me now and end it
this is gonna be good !!!!!
Doesn't quite look like Palin, nor Tina Fey. I'm thinking more like the "Nailin' Palin" chick.
Even down to the "cheap wig" look.
Oh great, that makes3! They're multiplying!!!!!
Tina Fey makes a better Palin. They should have hired Fey to do the part, but she woul have a problem keeping a straight face.

It's hard to play an idiot without laughing and messing up the lines.
I wonder if they will include the stunning Palin quote: "But obviously, we've got to stand with our North Korean allies." –Sarah Palin, after being asked how she would handle the current hostilities between the two Koreas, interview on Glenn Beck's radio show, Nov. 24, 2010
Sarah Palin, please go away.
well, hair, glasses, wardrobe yes... but she appears to be lacking in the manly iron jawline department.
She's too mild. Ms. Moore has failed to capture the stiff-jawed sneer Ms. Palin displays whenever engaging in her "You Betcha" style of politics.
