Daniels talks 2012 with Bush

Washington (CNN) - Republican Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels revealed Tuesday he has consulted with his former boss, former President George W. Bush, about a potential run for the White House in 2012.

Although he wouldn’t divulge details of the discussion, Daniels, who served as Bush’s director of the Office of Management and Budget, said he is aware he owes people an answer about a bid. Daniels has said he would make up his mind at the conclusion of the legislative session in Indiana, which ended Friday.

When asked if he would like to run, Daniels responded “Would I like to? No. What sane person would like to?”

“Believe it or not, I’m not one of those people who’s ever sat around scheming and dreaming,” Daniels said on “Fox and Friends.” “Never entered my mind, but I’ve agreed at the behest of a lot of people to give it some thought.”

Addressing al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden’s death for the first time publicly, the two-term Hoosier governor said Obama, former President Bush and the military deserve credit for the successful operation.

“I think both presidents would be very quick to give primary credit to our military and to our intelligence people, folks who did the real work,” Daniels said. “We ought to not over read it either, everyone said correctly this is a huge moment, a symbolic victory that this struggle’s not over, won’t be for a long time.”

He also said he hopes the sense of patriotism in America following the mission is not fleeting.

“People care about the security of this country every day but absolutely on an occasion like this,” Daniels said. “Let’s hope it’s not too temporary, the unity, the spontaneous unity we saw is always great and we need it for other purposes in this country.”

Any contact with WPE (Worst President Ever) would be a sign Daniels shouldn't get your vote and take us back into economic ruin!

I can think of no better way to finalize our descent into plutocracy than to elect the President of the Lollipop Guild as our next POTUS. Yep. It's not the fall that hurts: its the abrupt landing. Don't look behind the curtain...everyone ignore this ideologue munchkin's budgetary accounting tricks under Bush and focus on his unsuported and unverifiable claims that he tried to fight his GOP compatriots' deficit and debt ballooning policies. Follow the Yellow Brick Road....follow follow follow follow follow the Yellow Brick Road....

He doesn't have any hair, there fore he doesn't get elected......you have to have personality (he's lacking that), and hair. Any member of W's administration has not chance. He can be a viable candidate, but has already shown he's enbolden to the tea party, thus losing the much needed independents. He could be a viable VP but if attached to the frontrunners, still not enough to beat Obama on his accomplishments if looked at through non-partisan glasses.

Does this mean that Daniels is not his own man and must get approval/advice from W? This doesn't look like leadership to me.

Too bad, I was thinking of voting for Daniels until this. I guess I'll have to look elsewhere in the GOP camp.
