Palin: There are serious questions that demand answers

(CNN) - Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin raised "serious questions that demand answers" about the successful mission in Pakistan that resulted in the death of Osama bin Laden. And she commended "fighting warriors in our armed forces" while speaking at the Tribute to the Troops benefit at Colorado Christian University Monday night.

In remarks posted on her SarahPAC website Tuesday, the possible presidential candidate reflected on the U.S. special forces mission in Pakistan and made recommendations for military policy moving forward.

"There's no military in the world that could have accomplished what that young team of SEALs accomplished," she said. "But there are still many questions that demand answers."

Palin questioned how long bin Laden lived in "an affluent city outside Islamabad" and not "in a dark cave in the mountains." She asked why the "most wanted man in the world" was able to avoid detection and whether Pakistani leaders were assisting him.

"There are lots of questions, lots of questions about the burial, about photos; and those things will certainly be disclosed, we must trust," she said.

The 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee outlined a five-step formula for the effective use of force, partly based on policies of President Ronald Reagan, according to Palin.

Among them, "If we have to fight, we fight to win" by using "overwhelming force;" having "clearly defined goals and objectives before sending troops into harm's way," because, "If you can't explain the mission to the American people clearly and concisely, then our sons and daughters should not be sent into battle;" and sending armed forces as a last resort.

"We don't go looking for dragons to slay," Palin said.

"Remember, Reagan liked to keep it simple, yet profound. Remember what he would say to the enemy? He'd say, 'we win, you lose.'"

Some in the media are saying Gov. Palin thanked Pres. Bush but not Pres. Obama. This is another lie. Here is what she said:
“Yesterday was a testament to the military’s dedication in relentlessly hunting down an enemy through many years of war, and we thank our President and we thank President Bush for having made the right calls to set up this victory”.
This is how our media keep Palin's poll numbers artificially low.

Pretty big questions for someone that failed as a mayor and was booted out of the Governors chair for expense theft. It is very clear that Palin is as anti American as they come.I guess Sarah thought Obama should have told the world about this mission before going in and getting the "Mission Truly Accomplished" The only people dumber then Sarah Palin are the people who would go anywhere to listen to her.

We win, you lose? Please define win Sarah, in a way we Americans can understand. When Ronald Reagan made his statements they were in the context of having an enemy or opponent that was an actual government with a standing army. He was talking about military victory over an identifiable enemy
Is winning when the "official" spokesperson of the International Association of Terrorists say's "We give up". Cause there's no such thing. Or is it when all the brown people are dead. Is it when everyone who has a difference of opinion with the US bows down before the flag and renounces their religion? How naive. This is one more reason why she is not qualified to be the leader of the free world.
    Even she knows that.

    Stop covering this idiot!
Fight to win, clearly defined goals and objectives before sending troops into harm's way. Really? This wisdom is on par with put on your socks before you put on your shoes.
Most important things are complicated and can't be explained consisely.
If we don't 'go looking to slay dragons' how do you explain Iraq? Check the report today about how much that cost us over the years ($800 Billion +).
