Obama, members of SEAL team meet at Fort Campbell

Fort Campbell, Kentucky (CNN) - President Barack Obama met Friday afternoon with members of the military team responsible for conducting the raid on Osama bin Laden's compound, and promised a war-weary nation victory over al Qaeda.

"We are ultimately going to defeat al Qaeda," the president told more than 2,300 troops who recently returned from Afghanistan. "We have cut off their head."

Let's hope and pray that presidents do not need to conduct Seal Summits too often.

Tell the SEALS team #6 thanks for me!

Or, just say "the GOP says thanks, too"!

The advertising of what base this team came from and who they are is a idotic mistake by our President and press corp. This group like our other special forces counterparts are trained complete this objectives and need to remain anonymous. This is to protect them and their families. This is a clandestine group and needs to remain so.

if President Bush had done all of what Obama has done the past 2 days, the GOP would be fully behind him on it, patriotic they would say. President Obama does it and some on the right want to call it a "victory lap"! If meeting with the group that took out Osama is wrong then so be it. Just too bad some have to make politics out of everything.

My congratulation to the Seal Team and Pres Obama,. Bin Laden had declared war on the USA and was actively pursuing that goal. The act of shooting him on sight could very well and should be argued that it was a lawful act of self defense by the USA. Well done to all
