(CNN)– Cindy McCain isn't a fan of conservative host Glenn Beck. The wife of Arizona GOP Sen. John McCain tweeted her disdain for the departing Fox News pundit Wednesday saying, "I'm so glad Glenn Beck is leaving Fox. Enough vitriol and hate."
And if Beck was confused about his role on the network, which he's often equated with being an entertainer, Mrs. McCain sought to clear it up.
"Glenn, you are no rodeo clown," she said. "They are decent and nice. You aren't."
Beck might count two McCains with hard feelings since Meghan McCain later retweeted her mother's comments to over 107,000 followers. Cindy McCain has just under 6,000. Later, Meghan McCain sent a tweet of her own: "Does anyone know if Glenn Beck has daughters?"
Beck announced his split with Fox News in April, but will continue to develop and produce a variety of television projects to air on the channel, according to a joint statement. His daily show will end later this year.

This makes me like the McCains a little bit more, despite the fact that John has sold himself out to pander to the base. I honestly don't think he can believe half the stuff he says these days. Oh John, you were such a reasonable human being until primary season was starting to roll around the corner. It was all downhill from there, and Palin... dear god what were you thinking?
Well said, Mrs. McCain.
Cindy McCain has always struck me as an intelligent woman. So has her daughter.
vitriol and hate are modern day synonyms for "things I don't agree with". it's really unbecoming of an individual of her stature to attribute these words to Beck rather than to challenge him on the merits of his positions. when someone is afraid to argue another's point, it's much easier to call them hateful.
for about the first time i agree with a mccain. boy, do i agree! great photo as well, beautiful young lady!
The last time I saw Glenn Beck's show was a snippet while I was working out. Something about how Muslims are going to take over the US and force conversion to Islam, killing or heavily taxing anyone who won't convert. Seriously? There are people who are scared and uneducated enough to believe crap like this when it's on TV. It helps nothing to go spouting garbage like that.
John will make her recant all of this. LOL
The whole purpose of demagogues like Beck is stoke their audience's fear and play upon their prejudices. It is an emotional rather rational appeal. Because they know when people's emotions are ramped up, their judgement becomes clouded and they lose their sense of perspective – and so become easily led.
Good for the McCain women – perhaps with their help Senator McCain will find his way back to the man he was before Palin
That's it! Now Cindy McCain will be on Beck's list of Islamo-Marxist conspirators hellbent on taking over the world!
Awesome! I'm glad he is called for what he is.....an entertainer. Nothing more. He plays for sensationalism, and he would have been attacking McCain and the republicans if he would have won the election. It did not matter. Better Ratings! That's a shame! Stand for who you are not what gets you better ratings! Thank you Mrs. McCain!!
What is a Glenn Beck?
Always liked Cindy and Meghan McCain. Always seemed like a couple of classy ladies. Really use to like circa 2000 John McCain when he still was an actual maverick, before he soled out to the far right wingers.
FInally, some leadership in the Republican party.
Too little too late on the Republicans side when it comes to Glenn Beck. He's been polluting the air for years with his insane vitriol without a word of rejection from the republican camp. But now that he's on his way out after being rejected by all thinking peoples of America, mainly liberals, they decide to jump on the bandwagon and speak up. How quaint.
Keep sniping at each other wingnuts. It must be the boredom of the GOBP debate and the joke wingnut nominees
Agreed! Good riddance!
Well said ladies ... politics is politics ... but what Beck and Limbaugh and Olberman and Maddow do is so far beyond that ... there is no place for any of them in the conversation.
As long as we are talking about "hate and vitriol" what about Hannity? Rush? O'Reilly? Levin? Crowley? How about Chris Christie? Donald Trump? Michelle Bachmann? I always found Glenn Beck to be a sort of parody of himself. These people are really nasty!
Good ridence to bad rubbish!!!!Glenn Beck is obnoxious, a liar, an antagonizer, hateful, a bigot, a troublemaker, and a "Nazi" clone. He cannot get off the air fast enough. The saddest part of his pitiful story is that there are actually people who are so mentally challenged that they actually believe the hate and lies that spew from his mouth. Thank goodness there are atleast 2 Republicans who dislike him.
She's right, all Beck does is create fear and lies. Why any anyone is willing to give him a podium is beyond me. Unless of course they feel the same way! I give you Fox News. Hatred, bigotry and half truths every hour on the hour delivered right into your home.
I'm sorry, Glenn who? Doesn't ring a bell, was he on TV or the radio? Hummmmm...
Perhaps it will eventually dawn on people that empty barrels like Beck, Limbaugh, etc. are motivated not by ideological or philosophical commitment but by greed and the money which seems to flow endlessly in America to people who are adept at creating controversy and drawing attention to themselves.
Glen Beck is everything we as Americans should reject in our culture. He is uneducated, opinionated without being informed, vitriolic, emotionally manipulating, and hides behind the freedoms he would deny others. I only disagree with one thing Ms. McCain said. I think he is a rodeo clown whose been rolling around in that barrel so long he's not sure which direction he's going in. I hope it's out of the public arena.
I don't understand that last question from Meghan McCain. I think I remember seeing that Beck does have a daughter, but what does that have to do with anything?
The McCains are slime anyway. John McCain played dirty last election, but pretended that he was the nice guy. He told lies about his opponent just days before a primary so the opponent couldn't respond. Then, he said he thought it was true after it was revealed that it's not. What a joke...
