Cindy Crawford jumps to team Romney?

(CNN) - She backed President Obama in the 2008, but now actress and model Cindy Crawford is appearing in a video for all-but-declared GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

Eric Fehrnstrom, a spokesman for Romney said "Cindy Crawford appears in a demonstration video at Romney call day to show people how to use ComMitt fundraising software," via Twitter Monday.

Romney supporters gathered Monday in Las Vegas for "call day," placing telephone calls to raise money for the former Massachusetts governor.

Crawford, who sported Obama apparel during the last presidential election also contributed monetarily to his campaign. Federal Election Commission records show Crawford and her husband businessman Rande Gerber donated $4,600 – the maximum amount allowed for a couple at the time – to then-candidate Obama in August 2008. However, their other political donations have been largely to Republican candidates and groups, including former President George W. Bush, Delaware Republican Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell and the Republican National Committee.

Annett Wolf, a spokesman for Crawford told CNN she appeared in the video as a favor to Romney's son, with whom she is friendly.

"She's not politically aligned with any party or candidate," Wolf said.

I will wash my hands of everything Cindy Crawford now touches. She is supporting a member of cult group for president!

Here's a quarter, call somebody who cares what Crawford thinks. She's just another over-paid celebrity that has no comprehension of the real world where people are denied health insurance because they had the bad luck to get cancer. Romney's plan is no different than Obama's, but the GOP will spin the facts as usual.

Another bold journalistic story from CNN. Which candidates do other supermodels support? Fascinating, he says sarcastically.

Hubba Hubba – Cindy Crawford. Quite a looker, to say the least.
However, beauty and brains don't always mix – she also sent money to O'Donnell's camgaign (the Tea Party idiot from Delaware who used to be a witch)? Hocus pocus – maybe Cindy is still suffering from O'Donnell's hex. Perhaps Harry Potter can help her.

So Cindy appears in the video just to please Romney's son. Really? Is Romney counting on his family to force people to support him by curiosity? I'm not buying thiis.

I just lost all resperct for Cindy Crawford as a person. Her alingment with the rich republican conservative wingnut party in my opion casts a cloud over her concern for the working middle class and poor people of this country. Has she become so rich that she now wants to be part of the greedy opressive party that is ruining this country with their out sourcing of jobs, dodging their of their real tax obligations, and endless sex scandals. Good luck turn coat.

The woman's career revolves around hawking snake-oil garbage beautification products on poorly made infomercials...why does it not suprise me that she's willing to hawk some slightly different garbage (altho likely just as full of and covered by beautification products) on a slightly different, but no doubt equally cheesey, patronizing and we-think-you're-too-stupid-to-know-better infomercial?

Somebody needs to raise the bar on selecting a Republican candidate because the bar is set pretty low with Newt and his wife, both adultress, prancing around like the new king and queen.

  13. The Greedy Old Pigs have declared class war on America!

Who cares? There is no evidence she has any relevance whatsoever, nor is there evidence she has a clue what is happening to the poor, the middle class, workers and the environment. This is not news but CNN doesn't care to report on real news anyway.

"Oooh, look, something shiny!" is just a diversion.

Supported O'donnell and now helping Romney? Don't know if I'd brag about that kind of help. Is Mitt a witch?

    Cindy who?
No matter – she's got what the shallow GOP/fox followers worship with people under 60 – good looks. Maybe she'll be Romney's running mate. "That's the ticket!"

I knew there was something about Cindy Crawford I liked, even though I am not a Romney fan, I'll vote for anyone against the Soro's backed Obama and his progressive flunkies...I saw Chucky Schumer on CSPAN going after oil execs claiming price fixing over $4.00 gas, too funny, he had better start looking at the dairy farmers too, milk has gone up $1.75/gallon in one year and hey don't forget the bakers and produce suppliers, it is called global demand and inflation and the loss of the dollars value much to the thanks of this Administration...Idiots! Thanks DemoKKKrats...

so.....according to the tightie righties, we're not supposed to care what those "liberal hollywood types" think. They're not relevant to give any kind of opinion on political matters. I can't wait to see all the rightie "wow, Obama lost another supporter" "he's done" "any Republican will beat him" blather as a result of this story

There go all the Respect I had for Cindy Crawford. But her husband Is a Big Business Man so I may understand why she doing It , but she making the wrong move. It will show most American people she care more about making her husband getting Richer than she does about the people. Just how much money do you people got to have, Why don't you try living on what most American people live on. Than you wouldn't be Backing any Republican. Don't get me wrong I don't care how much money you people make, But I don't think you should be trying to take want little we have away. It all most like the Republican and the Tea Party are declaring WAR ON the Middle class ,the Poor , the OLD and the disable. We are not the one that got the Deficit as high as It Is. We don't have money to put In the stock market and we didn't start the two war that we are In. And I know for a fact that EVERY working class American person have pay out of there check every week as long they have work for SS and MEDICARE so I don't know why people say It a hand out. Because I don't want a hand out, i just want what I pay INTO all my life. If the Government Didn't borrow from SS and Medicare funds they wouldn't be any trouble with them. May the Republican should pay back all the money they borrow from them to fight these war , and the problem would be solve.
