AFL-CIO: House speaker 'blackmailing' America
Washington (CNNMoney) - AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka accused House Speaker John Boehner of blackmailing America for withholding his vote to raise the debt ceiling unless there are drastic spending cuts.
"Now we see Speaker Boehner and his colleagues engaged in a new round of blackmail with a ransom note that reads: 'Cut Medicare, dismantle the government, destroy hundreds of thousands of jobs to fund more tax cuts for the rich, or we will cause the United States to default on its debts'," Trumka said in a speech at the National Press Club on Friday.

The rethugs want to do away with the unions because they are against anything that helps the middle class get ahead. They don't have to worry about salary, parking, insurance (all of them) and they have a nice little chunk of money once they stop screwing their constituents in the name of the hock brothers and big corporations. That is what their pledge of allegiance is all about.

Trumka is the master of blackmailing so he ought to know what it looks like. That scumbag has done more harm to American prosperity than half the ambulance chasing trial lawyers in the country. If he finds fault with what Boehner is doing that we can count ourselve lucky.
Go ahead and google it: expert economist Douglas Holtz-Eakin, who leans conservative, has a video floating around the web in which he shows on a white-board IN JUST 58 SECONDS why the GOP is completely and utterly full of feeeeeceeees when they threaten to not raise the debt ceiling and act like it would be no big deal.
It's a bigger bluff than their threat to not fund the government...and we all saw how that turned out for them when you took the hood off and looked at the real budget numbers involved.
Calm down. Republicans threatening not to raise the debt limit is like someone pointing a gun to his own head or threatening to jump off the roof of a building unless his demands are met. Do you think the business masters of the Republican Party are going to let them cause a global meltdown?

Trumka is awful free with our kid's money and America's future. He is irresponsible and is giving union workers in America a bad name. It is unfortunate that the Democratic Administration has given this guy a voice in anything.
I guess right now Trumka is most interested in demonizing the Republican Party so that he get's the biggest bang for his investment in Obama's 2012 campaign. Certainly he cashed out well ( $60 billion in ObamaCare bill! ) in his 2008 'investment' in Obama.
I have never been in a union but I must thank them for an 8 hour work day, weekends off, safety in the work place, and especially for the higher pay they asked for so we could all benefit.

Richard Trum-KAKA leads an corrupt organization that should be investigated by the FBI and Justice Dept. They extort dues from their members to support DEMOCRATS ONLY and their members that support Others can do nothing about it. It is a soley owned subsidiary of the Democrat Party, another corrupt organization. Just look at Maxine Waters and Charlie Rangel for proof of that.

Has anybody bothered to ask and wonder why corrupt union leaders are the most frequent visitors to the Whitehouse? Where is all the reporting on this?? What is being discussed and planned? Where is all the transparency Obama brags so much about, yet practices very little of. It is very clear Obama and the Democrat party are controlled by these union thugs.
Yeah, just give Obama a limitless credit card so he can blow another $4 trillion on liberal programs that don't produce anything but excuses. It's like the founding fathers knew there would be guys like Obama elected when they created the checks and balances that are saving America today.
Make the Democrats match every penny of increaed debt limit with a penny of spending cuts. Do it for the future generations of Americans who have to pay this bill he is running up!
