Sarah Palin has the ‘fire in my belly’ for prez run
(CNN) – Sarah Palin has given few indications in recent weeks she is still actively considering a presidential run, but the former Alaska governor said Thursday she has the “fire in my belly” to mount a bid for the White House.
Appearing on Fox News, where she serves as a contributor, Palin did not rule out the possibility that she could jump into the still-undefined Republican presidential field, though offered few specifics on where she is in her thought process.
"I think my problem is that I do have the fire in my belly," said Palin. "I'm so adamantly supportive of the good traditional things about America and our free enterprise system and I want to make sure that America is put back on the right track and we only do that by defeating Obama in 2012."
The comments come after two once-potential presidential hopefuls – Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee – announced they were forgoing a presidential run because their inner yearning for the job was not strong enough to endure an 18 month campaign.
Not so when it comes to Sarah Palin. Rather, for her, the decision comes down to a series of “practical” concerns.
"It's a matter for me for some practical, pragmatic decisions that have to be made," Palin added, saying she is concerned about public scrutiny of members of her family.
"It's a matter for me for some practical, pragmatic decisions that have to be made," she said. “One is, with a large family, understanding the huge amount of scrutiny and the sacrifices that have to be made on my children’s part in order to see their mama run for president.
"But yeah, the fire in my belly, it’s there. That’s kind of my problem - it’s such a roaring fire to preserve what is good about America," she added.

Sarah, you are not electable. Please don't be a divisive and distracting factor in the pursuit of an electable conservative candidate to oppose Obama. Get your ego and personal ambitions in check. Do what is best for the country.
I wonder if she realizes that the criticism she gets now which she whines about and says "isn't fair," is nothing compared to the kind of scrutiny she would be under as president. How laughable would it be if she got elected and resigned after two years like in Alaska ha. If you can't stand the heat Sarah stay out of the kitchen!

So, Sarah, you "...want to make sure that America is put back on the right track and we only do that by defeating Obama in 2012." Our President Obama is leading on the right track. You should stay up there in Alaska and quit spouting your mouth off about things you have no expertise in.
I would also like to remind you that most US citizens do not share your values...
A big problem for former Governor Palin is that the America for which a fire burns in her belly is not the America the rest of us want to live in. It is an imaginary land that never did exist. Sarah Palin would not like to live in the real America, the one where religious conservatives don't get to use the power of government to force non-believers to live in accordance with the dictates of a religion they don't profess. Sarah Palin's America is a lot closer to the Ayatollahs' Iran than it is to my America.
Let's hope she runs. She'd only serve 2 years and quit anyway.
Well, she does have some sparkling foreign policy credentials. She was in the Middle East for a few days recently, where she got some wonderful photo-ops. That counts, right?

It ain't the "fire" Palin, it's those darn economic and deficit figures that sent her away because she is so limited and now she's trying to slip through by just talking street thug trash. Palin left the spotlight, Bachmann did stayed right in there with the boys talking about the deficit and economy. She did a little international travel to beef up her resume but hasn't done anything to beef up knowledge on economics, deficit, the Constitution or the English language. A debate with Palin will be the biggest comedy show in town as she tries to avoid questions and starts talking trash.

Flying off the handle in times of crisis is dangerous, demagoguery towards other nations and people brings hostility and possible conflicts which we do not need. Palin lacks the sensibility to understand strength comes not from defaming those who one disagrees with but strength comes prowess & intellect which Palin lacks. Solving The issues we face as a nation comes from understanding of the issues before us not from talking point memo put together by political pundits.

Yes, fire in the belly, and nothing extraordinary upstairs, aside from an unusual amount of greed, pettiness, and malice. As far as her beliefs and statements are concern, a quote about Warren Harding applies ver well to Palin: " An army of words swarming over the landscape in search of an idea".

There is not a single person living in America who is more unqualified and inappropriate for the Presidency then Palin. She thinks this is all a self publicity game. We can joke and make mockery of her but there is a seriousness here that needs to be considered strongly. She is dangerous, this isnt a game, this isnt funny. The republican party should tell her in no uncertain terms whatsoever that she can take her game somewhere else and that she will not receive not a single dime from the republican party coffers to support her malicious game at gaining attention.
