Washington (CNN) - In the wake of Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels' decision not to run for the Republican presidential nomination, there is debate among Republican activists about whether the universe of interested candidates will grow or whether it is pretty well set.
Consultants not involved in the campaigns told CNN to expect more intense focus to be put on some of the leading party figures who have so far sat out the race to rethink their decisions.

Daniels had no strong policy message to deliver. The Republican Party is lacking a message that is acceptable to most Americans. Hard right ideology, like what the Ryan Budget Plan sends, is not it. The special election in New York will be interesting. It should give both parties an opportunity to refine their policy messages.

It takes money to do maintenance on roads, schools, etc. Don't EVER LET ANOTHER CORPORATE TAX CUTTER IN THE OFFICE. Our country was ruined by a republican, it will take decades to undo the decay and rot that happened the previous 8 years of a BUSH.
