Still $100 billion to go for TARP

New York (CNNMoney) - It's been a pretty good week for the Treasury Department's bailout program.

Chrysler repaid a $5.9 billion high-interest loan, and Treasury is lowering its ownership stake in bailed-out insurer AIG through a stock sale that will bring in $8.7 billion.

Thanks God for this President: intelligent, balanced, thoughtful and charming. Repub will do anything against him even if it means bringing the country down, way down. They worship and adore a foreign leader who insulted our president. They cheer this foreign leader who only know how to beg and spit on the hand that gives. Bring Netanyahu for GOP nomination.

Mr. Obama is a smart President. Too bad the awkward thinking party of NO will try to twist this into something negative. Right On Detroit!!

WHAT TO DO ABOUT AUTO-BAILOUT NAYSAYERS LIKE ALABAMA SENATOR RICHARD SHELBY?!?

There are numerous video tapes of Senator Shelby attacking President Obama and the American Auto Industry (Ford, GM, Chrysler) as he tried desperately to kill the auto bailout. Shelby railed against hardworking American auto workers as lazy and worthless, and constantly threatened to filibuster any auto bailout.

Shelby did all this while taking hefty lobby money from foreign auto companies based in his state of Alabama (Toyota, Nissan), and while these same foreign competitors were trying to use Congress to bury the American auto industry.

JUST AS BUSH PEOPLE TRIED TAKING CREDIT FOR OBAMA’S SUCCESS AT GETTING BIN LADEN; ROMNEY NOW TRYING TO CLAIM CREDIT FOR THE SUCCESS OF OBAMA'S AUTO BAILOUT

(1.) – Romney outlines plan to rescue the auto industry.
(2.) – Obama implements auto bail plan similar to Romney's outline.
(3.) – Republicans erupt in fury at Obama plan. Condemns plan government takeover of industry and accusing Obama of being a socialist Marxist Kenyan secularist Muslim.
(4.) – Romney joins the withering condemnation of the Obama plan, ignoring the fact that it's quite similar to his own. Romney states on NBC Today that it’s “a very sad circumstance for this country … really tragic in a lot of ways.”
(5.) – President Obama's plan works, inspiring Romney to try to reclaim authorship of a plan that he earlier attacked as “really tragic” and “very sad.”

Can I ask a dumb question? If TARP and automakers are repaying their loans, why is it the advances are still on our deficits and national debt?

obama and obiden will not be re-elected in November 2012. Get over it liberals, come November 2012 you will have a new Republican President and not your liberal spending obama. Voting for the Republican nominee will be the right thing to do.

Wow, the Dimwits celebrating while we taxPAYERS are getting back pennies on the dollar for Union pention plan bail-outs! No doubt these "paybacks" will be reinvested in yet more political projects. Thus, we taxPAYERS will wind up with NOTHING!
