A CNN/Opinion Research poll showed that one in four adult Americans have altered their plans for this weekend because of high gas prices, and more than half say they have changed their overall vacation plans.

THANKS OBAMA!!!! Stop some more Gulf drilling. Stop drilling in Alaska. Send Billions to Brazil for THEM to drill (and create jobs). You are a buffoon and a disaster.

But it does fit nicely with his green agenda. Now we can all go out and spend our wads of surplus cash, that we don't have, on overpriced Government Motor electric cars that don't live up to their billing.

Want cheap oil? Vote for Republicans in 2012.

"Sniffit.....how do you make a living? Afraid your welfare checks will cease? Ask them."

Well paid attorney who went to top tier schools. What...you think I can't afford to peak away from the work for 2 minutes here and there during the day to skim an article, type something quickly and then go back to it? Please. It's very cute though that you like to pretend that someone who clearly is well read, informed and has facts and historical record at his fingertips is somehow an uneducated, unemployed welfare mooch.

Newsflash: I know it's very hard for you to understand or accept, living in your conservative echo chamber reality bubble as you do, but the number of highly educated, hardworking, well-paid people in this country who actually support taxes going up on themselves to fix the budget deficit, pay down the debt, provide a societal safety net and a more egalitarian economic system...we are legion.

I seem to remember back in 2008 when gas prices were at record prices and everyone seemed to blame President Bush, even accusing him of collusion with the oil companies. Well, here we are again. High gas prices lead to higher food prices and no one in the media is blaming obama. Is obama in bed with the greedy oil companies too? Hmmmm?

Couldn't afford to go anywhere last year due to high gas prices, this year with prices double what they were last year, not even going to think about it. Sad to think of my camper just sitting in the driveway collecting spiderwebs and dust! Wonder what kind of trips the oil companies get to take this summer as I sit at home?

@ the day of Financial reckoning
Let me guess. Your a Richard Nugent/Sean Hannity/Glenn Beck fan?

Mindless drivel without substance is ignorance.

Voting for republicans is like giving the keys to mental patients and then cutting your own throat. We trade cheap oil for lower wages and survival of the richest.

The Republicans have a few good ideas. They just lose all credibility when they fight for wealthy corporations/people, instead of fighting for the middle class working people. You know, the 87% in the middle. The MAJORITY of the country.

They should top trying to kill education for the next generation and healthcare for older generation. It makes them sound like @$$h01e$

Oh yeah. There is no way you can call Obama a buffoon or a disaster. Look up the top ten worst presidents ever. I guarantee our previous president bush is on every worst list. The facts spit in your face.

Conservative single-mindedness ensures they will be disappointed in 2012.
