Ex-utility exec nominated for Commerce chief

New York (CNNMoney) - President Obama will nominate the former CEO of the utility company Edison International, John Bryson, to lead the Commerce Department, the White House said Tuesday.

If confirmed, Bryson would succeed Gary Locke, who has been nominated to serve as ambassador to China. Bryson will be officially introduced as the nominee at a Rose Garden ceremony later Tuesday.

He is a great pick.. Very smart....loves to build businesses. Very excited about the nomination. I won't mention anything else because of all the people that do not believe that we need green jobs to move this country forward. Cal Tech, Stanford...not that bad dude.

An ex-CEO in a cabinet position? That's sooo corrupt... Unless that person was the vice-president and he was the ex-CEO of Halliburton, and in exchange got his former company (that still continued paying him) multi-billion dollar no-bid contracts with no oversight.

Can you read or are you just ill-informed like Sarah Palin? Gary Locke didn't QUIT ... he's been appointed ambassador to China.

No wonder the GOP/TP are considered a bunch of loons when you can't even get your facts straight!
